    Default Quilting Sort Of

Does anyone here know where I could find directions to make
    my own quilting frame.
I can not afford to buy one but would love to be able to make a frame that would work.
    TIA

The easiest way to hand quilt a quilt though (I think) is to use a 14 inch quilt hoop. Its easy to handle and can be turned which you can't do with a quilting frame.

The fancier quilting frames all take parts and usually cost about $60-80 for the parts (at least in Canada), plus the wood, stain and sandpaper.

I used a 16" hoop for my queen sized quilt. I had a much larger oval hoop on a stand but I found it difficult to get comfortable sitting in front of it.

I have never used a quilting frame (large one) but tomorrow is the "Fiber Arts" show here in town and they have a "community quilt" set up on a large frame. I would like to go and try stitching on that and see if I would even like or be able to use one.

I hope you can find what you are looking for. Dh said he would make me one if I could ever decide how I wanted it to look like.
