Question Do you have a comfort quilt?

I was reading elsewhere where someone has one special quilt that is a comfort quilt and as I looked around I realized I didn't have one. I have lots of quilts but I don't have one particular one that I wrap myself in on a regular basis.

I have one that is my absolute favorite but its all applique and hand quilted and I'm afraid almost to use it.

So I've decided to make myself one just using lots of bright colors and just a simple patchwork one.

    How about you?

nope i don't. I'd like one someday, but right now I don't have one. I do have "MY BLANKET" it is one of those fuzzy style blankets with a animal print on it. its the only one i can sleep with. It's really a throw blanket, but i am so short it covers me chin to foot. It is my security blanket of sorts.

I do! It's a quilt that my former BIL's mother and sister made for my hubby and I when we got married. It is always on the couch now and everyone in the family can be found cuddling up under it at some point and time. The cats even love it!

I don't own a single quilt! I have several afghans that I like to use but none are really my "special" one. Someday I hope to learn to quilt and then I will make myself a "blankie"

I have several. I am very attached to the quilts my grandmother made. Two of wich are on my kid's beds. They are to small for mine. I do tend to go in and feel them or sit on them when I am upset. Helps me feel connected to my grandma.

That's so sweet Melody Sometimes that is just what we need to feel connected with that special person.

Yes I do, a dear friend made me one some time ago and I have it over my rocking chair in the kitchen but it goes with me where ever I "park it"! It's colourful and made with love and just what I need on a cold winter's night or when I'm feeling down and want to hide from the world. My little piece of protection.

I have a special quilt. It was made by my Grandmother when I was a child. It's just made simply from pink and blue striped seersucker squares and tied with crochet cotton thread. Everytime I see it I can feel how much she loved me.

Its binding is treadbare but I am going to re-bind it someday.

I bought her a quilt (before I started quilting) and she had it on her bed when she died. It was her special quilt. She told all her friends.

I have a blankey too. After I broke my neck in 2 places, I have to have something soft to support my neck when I sleep. Actually i do use one nightly, but wouldn't object for trading it for another blanket. Its not a security type, kwim?
