Question Is anyone quilting these days?

I haven't been in my quilting room for a couple of days. I have a horrible cold and I've been trying to rest. As soon as I'm feeling better, I'll be working on dgs's quilt.

    What are you working on?

    Does thinking about quilting count?

Pretty soon I'll be right there working on one with all of you. I have a top about ½ way done. I hope to finish it and get it off to my sis Sandy for her bday next month.

Trying to get all of the fabric to make a quilt for my brother. It will be awhile.

In the meantime I've been doing yard work and just crocheting at night.

I am still hand piecing my Jacob's Ladder quilt for my DH. I have finished 12 of the 16 blocks needed. I seem to be finishing one block every two weeks. I love to hand piece so I'm not in a real hurry.

I'm hand quilting my first every applique quilt. My goal is to have it finished by mid June but gardening season is fast approaching so I may not reach my goal.

I just finished a "One day at a time " throw for my DD's birthday and am starting a Christmas tree skirt and matching tablecloth which I will give my daughter-in-law for her November birthday.

I am also going to do a tied blanket (nothing to do with quilting). I was wondering if any of you have made one. It looks very easy.

My MIL and I are just about to finish the quilting on a quilt for her nephew born in November. I can't wait to get that binding on there and start a table runner for my Mom. Slowing me down on finishing it lately is my newfound addiction to knitting... But, I will always love my quilting! I will post a picture when we're done and I would love to see what you ladies are working on. Some day I would love to learn handpiecing.

I have never actually done a full blown quilt before. But the other day I bought a very simple panel and the backing and filler for an adorable baby quilt for some friends who are having a little one. It's six squares and some straight lines, so I am going to just take my time and have fun teaching myself how to quilt this. It will look really nice when I'm done I think.

    Bright Blessings!

    Your projects all sound great!

Over the winter I made quite a few flannel block quilts for the children's ward at the hospital I had some of my treatments at. I just loved making them and I have a few more cut out. I made some larger ones for the older children with different prints )in cotton not flannel). Whichever ones they picked they got to take home. Alot of these children had cancer.
