Salt Question
Ok I know your suspose to use canning salt to set your colors but I only have regular salt.
I found some material I bought last year .
Can I just use a cup of regular salt to set the colors?
This is just practice material.....Will be making window covers for bathroom and back room laundry room.

Holly, if you have vinegar, you can just use vinegar without the salt. It will work too.
Being as this isn't for a quilt, I would just pre-wash it and not worry about setting the colors. All you have to do is remember to wash the window covers in cold water when you wash them.

I always have vinegar but only apple cider at the moment.
I figure if I practice on the backroom windows I'm safe.

I would just forget the vinegar and salt, seeing as this is practising. I'm not sure what apple cider vinegar would do.
