    Question CJ or anyone, question....

CJ, I think you said you quilted each block as you went on one of your dd's quilts. Could you explain how you did this? Sounds like something I would like to try as I have a hard time controlling a full sized quilt under the sewing machine and have it come out nice looking. Doing 1 block at a time sound much easier.

    TIA

Here is how I did it. I probably broke a few rules, however it turned out perfect.

btw - you could do this row by row if you wanted to.

Here is the perfect link showing you how I did it.

The wonderful thing about this is you can use up smaller pieces of material and have a patchwork on the back of the quilt. If your hand quilting, you can take a block with you if you are travelling or going somewhere and quilt while your gone.

Dee, if you can't understand the link, let me know and I'll do a quick tutorial over the next couple days.

    Thank you CJ and Kim!

CJ, I understand it perfectly, thanks for the great site!

Kim, I love that homespun look, but I'm afraid I would never be able to use one like that. I can just see my kids chewing on the seams now! ROFL But thank you, I will keep that in mind for a gift.

ROFL! I can totally see where your kiddos could get themselves into plenty of trouble with a quilt like that.

Ds loves your avatar btw. He keeps saying "Hey, can I see that picture of that cute kitten again?"

LOL, I suppose I could turn it over and use it but then why make it that way if you can't enjoy how it is supposed to look?

Aww, tell your son thank you and I will change my avatar to another kitty just for him!

He says thank you and they look very nice. He also wants you to know he has a cat named Tom. He would also like to see more pictures of your babies, please.
