Question Where do you store your thread, whether for quilting or sewing?

I purchased a thread stand awhile back, however it doesn't hold all the thread I have. I'm wondering where you store your thread?

I have two plastic shoe type boxes I keep my thread in. They're clear so I can see pretty much see what is in each one. I have a ton of thread that was my grandmothers that I've been trying to use. I don't like thread stands because the thread sits out and gets dusty....(jmo)

I few years back Walmart had some great deals on plastic matchbox car carriers. They still have them they have just gotten more expensive. I store mine in those.

I store my thread and other sewing and craft supplies in some old cardboard cheese boxes I got from work about 15 years ago. Each box has 8 smaller boxes in it that slide out like drawers and I labeled the front as to what's in them.

I hold all my thread on wooden racks with pegs for the spools. I like to see all my colors.

Jack built me special shelves in my sewing room for cone thread and wooly nylon. Spools of thread are in clear plastic containers.

I have a huge, clear plastic tote that my fabric, rulers, thread, etc. are stored in. It's kept in a cabinet in the utility room.

I have a plastic organizer with small drawers that keeps my thread clean. If I have a bobbin filled I put it and the thread it matches in a small ziplock bag and keep them together.
