Question Are you planning on going to any quilting shows in 2006

Yes I have my eyes on a couple of them. There are a few around here, however I'd like to go to one in Sask. this year. It's always my favorite and we missed last years.

Hi- I'm planning on going to the Minnesota Quilters Annual show this year. I've gone to the last 5-10 years worth and they are really great. (I'm also biased because I'm a member of the guild and served on the Board of Directors!) Minnesota Quilters is an all volunteer organization. We put on the largest volunteer run show. There are always many many beautiful quilts on display and there are a ton of classes you can take with world famous quilters teaching. I'll put a plug in- Their website is www.mnquilt.org and you can follow the links about the annual show. This summer its in St. Cloud, MN (its on a 4 year rotation between Minneapolis, Rochester, Duluth and St. Cloud) and it will be June 15th-17th and the theme is 'Sew Many Norther Lights".

Sorry to be so wordy but I really think this is one of the better shows that is put on in the US. Oh- but save some $$- the vendors are AMAZING!!

I plan on going to the Dallas Quilt Celebration in March. I would love to go to the International Quilt Festival in Houston in November but I will have to wait and see if I can work that out.

There is one in Monroe, Louisiana that I'm going to attend in February. A couple of ladies in my guild went to Houston Quilt show last year.

I love quilt shows. There are about five a year that are close enough to drive to but I don't get to go all of them every year.

I've just started taking up quilting and I love it!! I've been looking for show in my area, Michigan, but the closest I have found is in Ohio or Indiana. I may have to go to one of them though to see what they are all about. I'm sure I will be quite envious of all of the quilts. I just don't have a lot of time to sew!!

Nope not me, they don't interest me. Now if I could find a sewing show that had all the new machines and gadgets out on the market, you'd find me first in line!
