Thumbs up Received a phone call from.....

The pastor who I send my charity quilts to this past week. He was asking when I would be sending up more has the ladies were asking him when I would.

I'm loving this. I have 3 tops all ready to be quilted and should get those done sometime this week. I also have 3 tops finished (single) that need to get quilted and then will send up another batch.

I plan on doing this throughout the year.

Just a thought---but since you are donating your quilts to charity could you use the materials that you use on them as tax deductions?

Where do your quilts go CJ? Our charity quilts are done through a local quilt guild. They go to hospitals for preemies and cancer patients. Also to shelters for abused women and children. I'm curious what other options are out there.

Jean, they go up north to a reserve. It happens to be the poorest one in our province. I've been donating baby quilts. I also have single quilts that are ready to quilt (toddler size) that will be going there has well. They go to the local pastor and he hands them out.

I also want to make doubles and have him donate them to any of the older people there.

We don't have a quilt quild here. The closest one is in Brandon. I know they donate to the local hospital and to Child and Family services.
