Crazy Quilts
I have always wanted to make one, but I have no clue how. Do you start just sewing random pieces together or do you plan out the pieces?
Also, has anyone heard of a quilt where you sew random peices together and then you make blocks out of the pieced material? You then make your quilt out of the blocks. You were supposed to pattern the blocks in whatever way looked the best or use other scraps as borders. I heard of this a long time ago and I don't remember where and that is just about all that I remember about it.
Thanks for the help!

Here is all you want to know on crazy quilts. http://www.geocities.com/soho/lofts/6531/cqfaq.htm
I made one and loved doing it. I started with a piece of material that had 5 sides. I placed it in the middle of a block (10 inch piece of material) and then worked around that piece of material. You can decorate it as you wish. Here is the one I made. My first crazy quilt and frugal too

That's a great link CJ. I havent done a crazy quilt yet but it's on my list of quilts to make. The one where you make each block and then sew them together sounds the easiest for a first quilt. Good luck and hope you have fun doing it.
