My take on the flip-flip quilt (in progress- no pics yet.)
So I finally started my work on my interpretation. It is not actually a quilt at all- it is going to be a 3-layer beach "blanket." I am taking an old bed sheet and an old comforter with the stuffing removed (I've had it since I was a kid and I love it, but all the stuffing was stuck in a lump in one corner) and sewing them together. The sheet will have appliquéd flip-flops on it. Nothing fancy at all, mind you, but I think it will be cute for the beach, and I get to reuse my beloved kiki.
I will post pictures once I finish, which could be a while- I have 30 flip-flops to sew on once I get the last three appliqué patches prepared. Maybe if I get really ambitious I will post in-progress pics, too.
