Quilting tips to get more quilting done and faster
So many people often comment to me that I do so much quilting but I've learnt a few tricks I want to share with all of you.
- make sure first of all your sewing area is ready to quilt. Do you have all the thread your going to need. sharp blades for your cutting tool, rulers you will need.
- When you purchase material or fat quarters, as soon as you bring them home, wash them and press them.
- Once pressed, put them where you can find them quickly - on a shelf, in a plastic box where you can see them or even in a suitcase. Match them up so your not trying to find colors that match when your already into a quilt.
- Once you've decided on what pattern your going to do, pick all your material out. Cut all the material out, ready for you to sew.
Then when you have a few minutes you can sew. Sometimes I just sew for 5 minutes at a time, but when you've got everything cut, you can get lots of sewing done in those few short minutes. Doesn't take much to be organized and you get lots more quilting done.

Thanks these are great tips. I don't feel so bad for sewing for only 5 or 10 min. now that I know the master quilter does it.
