Exclamation The Healing quilt by Lauraine Snelling

This lady is an awesome author and I've just ordered the book. Here is the description of the book and I'm sure if any of you can find it, you'd really enjoy it. I love these books for quilters.

This is the write up in the Crossings newsletter.

    ~quote
When Kit Cooper learns that the high cancer rate in her Northwestern town of Jefferson City may be due to outdated equipment, she vows to do something about it. Her idea: to auction a quilt created by the town's women to raise money for a new mammogram machine.

This labour of love brings women from every corner of town together. There's Kit who is still grieving over the loss of her daughter; Beth, the pastor's wife who is haunted by a secret; the affluent Elaine who can't seem to forgive; and the spunky Aunt Teza who can do just about anything.

Through the strength of friendships formed, each woman's life is changed forever as God's grace is poured out and a quilt inspired by suffering becomes the Healing Quilt.

    ~end of quote.

Now does that sound like a good book or what?

I have read one of her books, Hawaiian Sunrise, and absolutely loved it! I just rec'd an order from Christianbook.com at the end of the week and saw The Healing Quilt in a catalog they included - looks like a good book!

This sounds really good- thanks for sharing Cj! I'm putting it on my list to read. Right now I'm reading the Persian Pickle Club, then I have 2 Janette Oke books that I got from the library.

Okay, I started this last night and made it through chapter 10. I had to force myself to put it down (it was after 11pm and I needed to get to sleep). Fantastic read so far!
