    Default One Trait You Admire?

    Time for some positive reflection...

What is the one trait or quality you really admire about your significant other/mate/spouse? This could be something that made you fall in love with them, learned about them after getting together, something you used to hate and now love etc. This applies to current or past significant others/mates/spouses.

For me: I would have to say DF is quite encouraging of me to be myself and accepts all my wacky & quirky sayings/actions that come with 'this' package.

~His American Country-ness. He may not go hunting, wear camo, own a dog, or drive a truck but he is a country boy! He just wants to do a great job at work, love God and his family, and have fun with his friends in his off time. Sounds like a song..... ~

My DH's kindness and respect for me. Never an angry word or mood directed my way. Nothing but positive support and appreciation.

    God I love him.

Ability to love. Not afraid to shout it from the rooftops, not afraid to show it in every shape and form he can, not afraid of joshing from other men for it, he just loves openly. I need that in my life.

His kindness and akwardness, and the first time he tried to compliment me. As we were driving by birds eatting garbage. " I love you as much as those birds love garbage and they really love garbage". I was his first girlfriend so he was never sure what to say at the start.

LOL about the birds & garbage. That is so awkwardly cute!

My DH is a jokey smurf and always looking for a laugh. And like alot of men, his inner 12 year old boy is still alive and well. He did something on our first date that yes, got me laughing but I also told him while laughing not to ever do that again!

It would have been a LAST date if I didn't know him some by then and knew he meant nothing by it except to get a laugh. I told him that too.

It's, ah, adult in nature so I can't tell the story here - but it's a good first date story that gets laughs and I usually get the remark "And you married him anyway!"

Yes, I'll tell it in a PM if you are twistedly curious LOL

His natural goodness. He does the right thing without even thinking about it.
