    Default On My Own Now...

Well, my dh and I are officially separated and working on getting a divorce. It's been a long time coming, although everyone else is surprised. It's kind of been that whole you put on a front for others and then behind closed doors it all falls apart. I just haven't been happy for a long long time.

So, we went to Cancun for 9 days. I was hoping it would cement my feelings one way or another. It sure did...I guess for him too, because the day after we got back, he was out and rented an apartment. He moved out yesterday, so last night was my first night alone at the house. It was hard, but I know it'll get easier.

Thanks for listening. It helps to talk about it. I've been keeping it all in for so long.

beks...sorry to hear about this but it sounds like you two are going to to part ways amicably. Good on you for not staying and suffering through trying to keep that front up for others and slowly killing yourself inside while building resentment. I think its great that you're calling a spade a spade and seeing this situation for what it really is so you can both move on with your lives. Embrace your future BTW: Love the new avatar pic - hot hot hot lookin!

I remember that first night and no its not easy but you're right it will get easier. It will take time over a long and bumpy road but it will get easier, it will get better and you will be happy.

Thanks all for the kind words. We filed with the lawyer yesterday, so it will be finalized on or about December 20th......just in time for Christmas. I'm sure the holidays will be hard. But I'm glad I've got a lot of support from friends and family.
