I think I'd rather be poor again....

I am officially seperated. He filed for divorce yesterday.... I finally left in September. Even though my emotions are teeter-tottering, I have been much happier and a ease without him.

I had one of those, and I left him at the beginning of a new year. I have missed the dual income at times, but I have never EVER regretted my decision to leave. Some abuse is not worth taking at any price, and sometimes just having peace in your soul is worth a king's ransom. "Poor" can define your financial situation without necessarily defining your life.

Good for you! I got divorced last year, one of the best things I've ever done for myself. We're still friends, but sometimes you have to cut your losses and move on.

I miss having a partner. We were both high earners, and I miss having an almost paid off house, and a fat bank account, but what good is all of that without companionship? I'm in a much better place now.

I know it's a hard step to take, but you'll be better for it. Hugs to you.
