Wanted: Ball gown/formal dress
I need a floor length formal dress for a military ball. I can't wear my others because I have gained some weight since I stopped working out. I like classic things, but open to all ideas (that have a great price). No red or orange please, they don't go well with my skin.

I have a closet full of prom/ball dresses. Various sizes. Not sure if any of them are your size but you're welcome to e-mail me. From my Godmothers failed consignment shop venture, lol. Some are atrocious 80's style ruffle/sequin infested nightmares but a few are really pretty.
Anyone else need a few dresses? lol

Lindsey,
Did you look on Ebay?? I just put ball gown and your size in and I came up with dresses in the $75-$100 range......some nice looking black ones that would look great with your husbands dress uniform : )
I will keep looking around and see what I can see.

Yes, but that price to me is CRAZY high. The only dress I have bought new(I have been lucky to find some at thrift stores) so far for one was at JCPenny's for $50. and I splurged because it was one for when he came home from deployment. I have found one http://www.lightinthebox.com/Elegant...0-_p24729.html that is an okay price if I can't find something cheaper. Keeping toes crossed for a better deal (yes I'm cheap )
Thanks for your help!!Last edited by Lindsey; 10-02-2008 at 02:37 PM.

I have a Coral one and a Pink one. I wore both of them to different military balls.

The coral dress is a bit wrinkled on the bottom. They are both stain free though. They will just need to be dry cleaned.

OOOH! Very nice selection. I personally think the 2nd from left brown satin is GORGEOUS. I think that style/color would be so flattering on just about anyone. You'd certainly turn heads wearing that

Now I wish I had a formal affair to go to because I want it....LOL!!

Day~Dreamer: Thanks for the pictures. I don't think either one of those dresses will do. I have rosacea so my face is on the red side (I look like I was in the sun a little to much) and those color bring out the redness. Thanks for posting!

Do you want a black one? When do you need it by? The shop I work in has Vintage and formal dresses at around 20 dollars
