Christmas at the Village - Whatcha Lookin' For?
Last year I started a thread where people posted things they were looking for to buy as presents for Christmas/Hannukah/Kwanzaa, etc. They were items that the people wouldn't mind buying second-hand or that someone else could make for them.
Then, people responded saying "I have this and I'd ask this much" or "I have this and I'm looking for that, can we swap?" I was able to get 3 Game Boy games for my dd's Game Boy at a cheaper price than I would have paid new (thanks Mrs. McDowell!) and other people were also able to get some neat gifts for their families, second-hand. It saved people money and helped us help each other.
So, I thought I'd give it a try again this year. I know it's early September, but it's really never too early to get started!
So, please go ahead and post what you might be looking for as well as what you might have to offer villagers. Maybe you have some stuff in good condition that you just aren't using anymore, but that someone else might be able to use and you'd be willing to sell for not a steep price.
I'll go first.

What I'm looking for this Christmas are games for a Game Boy and games for Nintendo DS.
I'm also looking for chapter books at a 4th or 5th grade reading level, but with stories appropriate for a 3rd grader.
I have PayPal and can also send a check, if the price is right!
If there is something you are looking for, I may very well have it, so please feel free to ask! Can't hurt!
Look forward to having you all participate! My Blog: http://amysreallife.com

I'm looking for two Nintendo DS systems...if anyone has some sitting around. I would prefer that they be in great condition...and we'll need some games to go with them.
I also make sterling silver necklaces with names hand stamped into them. Great gifts for moms and grandmothers. If anyone is interested, pm me and I can send pics.
Great idea, Amy. Thanks!

Hi Amy,
Are there any particular game boy games you are interested in?
My Grandson has several game units, one of them being a game boy. I will ask him if he has any he may want to sell, and pm you
the information.
It might take a couple of days as he is a very busy young man.You have succeeded in life when all you really want is only what you really need.

Great idea for a thread...
I am looking for a Nintendo Game Cube, with controllers if possible.

No particular Game Boy games. If people just want to say what they have to offer, I'll look them up, read the descriptions and decide if it sounds like something the big kids might be interested in.
Michelle, Julia is still into mysteries, and has added books about magic and/or fairies to her repetoire.
No real series that she's reading these days, just stand-alones...although she certainly wouldn't turn them away if a series popped up that caught her interest.

I am ISO Scrabble game letters. I want to make something with them to give Dave & the kids. So it's okay if the game isn't complete. I don't even need the board.
