    Lightbulb Wanted: Knitted Dishcloths!

~I've recently fallen in love with knitted dishcloths and I would like to buy or barter for a set of them(10-12). MUST be in Jadeite green. I can barter sewn items: cloth shopping bags, handkerchiefs, swiffer covers, or whatever you need.~

I have no idea what Jadeite green is. Do you want a particular material--like cotton?? Do you want patterns or plain? I can make them for you.

~I have a retro kitchen. Just look up Jadeite on a search engine. It's a milky emerald.
I think Kelly Green is probably a good match:
I have no pattern or anything in mind, whatever you know how to make as long as the stitches are fairly close together. Material, I have no clue. Cotton probably is better but I think a blend would be ok too.~

~Eww, yeah, so not into 70's green. I think a lot of that stuff was labeled avocado.
Anyway, thanks Nicole! Do you want to barter or would you prefer to be paid? Let me know what you would like and how to pay you. ~

This might sound silly, but I use knitted dishcloths and love them! Mine are knitted using larger needles so that the stitches are not tight and I love them this way for three reasons. 1: it allows for better air circulation and quicker drying, and 2: because of #1, it never gets "yucky", and 3: If I ball up a section of it, I can use it as a scrubber as well as a regular discloth.

Prior to using these, I would only use sponges to wash dishes and counters.... now would never go back. You can toss the knitted dishcloths in the washing machine (and I even tossed mine in the dishwasher once to see if it would be ok. It was).

~Yeah! I learned casting on, garter stitch and binding off yesterday and today I learned yarn over and knit two together. So I'm ready now to knit this pattern: Grandmother's Favorite - Knit Pattern - Dishcloths Boutique .
I have a gift card to Michael's and Sugar N Cream yarn is on sale there for for $1.25 each this week. And I have a 40% off coupon for the knitting needles. How awesome is that?
I've been using a skein of acrylic yarn and #3 needles to learn. The pattern says 6/7 needles. Do you use bigger than that Jen?~

Way to go Nuisance!!! size 3 needles are very small - as you probably already know!! My favorite size is 8!!

    Have fun with your creations!!

I have done that pattern and have one on the needles right now as a matter of fact.

I use size 8's because I tend to knit "tight". Word of caution...try to knit looser (if you knit tight like me) so when you're doing the k2tog you won't have too much trouble doing that stitch.

Using plastic needles works for me as opposed to the aluminums if/when I knit tight.
