White Elephant Swap
To kick off the forum, I'm organizing a white elephant swap. If interested, you would gather something in your home that you no longer want and send it to your swap partner. The item must be either thrift store or garage sale bought or come directly from your home. No brand new items for this swap.
Sign up for this swap will be open until 9-16. Deadline for sending out this swap will be 9-30
This particular swap will be an ongoing swap and will be reposted periodically. If you'd like to help support Frugal Living by Sara Noel, my syndicated column, e-mail, write, or call the managing editor at your local newspaper and ask them to publish it in print or online. It's internationally syndicated through Universal Uclick. Thank you for supporting Frugal Village.

Count me in. I've got plenty of "white elephants" that need a new home.

I wanna play too! This will be fun! A few years ago I belonged to a group and we did a Secret Sister and a Secret Santa. We had a blast!

One question: is there a dollar amount attached to this (not $$ amount to purchase, but what we consider the item's value to be?) Or is it just send whatever you want?

No set dollar amount. I'll be assigning partners and each person will just select a secondhand item to send to their swap partner.
Also, hopefully everyone will be considerate of their swap partner and not send something that is useless or real junk. I don't want any dryer lint sent or used tin foil ladies.
