Default FS: Two books about food preservation

I bought these today at the library sale because they are wonderful. I actually already own them both, but I thought someone around her would be blessed by them. I'm asking for my cost, plus shipping.

The first is Stocking Up - How to preserve the foods you grow naturally. It's the revised and expanded edition, published in 1977 by Rodale Press (known for their health food and organic gardening stuff). This book is quite comprehensive at 500 pages. It's hardback with a dust jacket and cost me $1.

    Here are the chapter headings:

    Choosing Vegetable and Fruit Varieties
    Vegetables for Vitamins
    Harvesting Vegetables & Fruits
    Freezing Vegetables & Fruits
    Canning Vegetables & Fruits
    Drying Vegetables & Fruits
Underground Storage (even has plans for building one)
    Pickles & Relishes
    Jams, Jellies & Fruit Butters
    Juicing your Harvest
    Vegetable & Fruit Recipes

    Freezing Milk & Cream
    Making Butter
    Making Hard & Semihard Cheeses
    Making Soft Cheeses
    Making Yogurt
    Storing Eggs
    Homemade Ice Cream
    Dairy Recipes

Preparing Beef, Veal, Lamb & Pork for Storage (includes butchering)
    Dressing poultry
    Freezing Meat
    Canning Meat
Curing & Smoking Meats (plans for building a smoke house)
    Preparing & Storing Fish
    Meat Recipes

Nuts (harvesting, hulling, drying, cracking, roasting, etc)
    Sunflower seeds
Grains (harvesting by hand, curing & storing, pest prevention, grinding grains, etc)
    Sprouts
Nut, Seed, Bread & Sprout Recipes.

The second book is Dry it - You'll like it - "a book about dehydrating food, including recipes & plans for building your own food dehydrator." Some of the suggestions in this book I found to be a bit off the wall, but if something can be dried, it's mentioned in this book. This is a charming book that was 'printed' in what appears to be handwriting and published by a small local house. It's paperback, 75 pages, and cost me 50c.

    Here are the section headings:

    General Instructions (how to dry)
Fruit (different methods for different types)
Vegetables (includes how to use dried vegetables)
Seeds and Grains (has recipes for granola, crackers, etc)
Healthy treats for Children (cookies & stuff made from dried things)
    Herbs
    Meat & Fish
Afterthoughts (more hints/tips, rehydrating, cottage cheese & pot cheese recipes, trail mix, etc)
Living Foods Dehydrator (plans for building)

Email me or pm me or whatever is customary if you'd like to buy one or both for my cost, plus shipping. I can take cash, check or non-credit card paypal. I hope these go to a good home.
