Is it called "Nickled and Dimed" with a subtitle of something like "living on minimum wage in America"? The author takes on a variety of min. wage jobs and tries to live on it?

A woman in my hometown of Wichita, KS, by the name of Tawra Kellam, has a web-site called livingonadime.com She also wrote a book called Dining on a Dime. Even though it is basically a cookbook, it has lots of frugal living tips. Your library might have it. I ordered my copy from amazon.com. It is a great book!

You might ask your library to try to do an interlibrary search for it and then have them get it for you to check out. My library will do this so I basically have access to any book.

Try here
The only book I found (on bookfinder.com) was one from the depression. I think you must have the title wrong?
The book I found was _Living on half a dime a day_
(I used to find books for a living which is why I know about bookfinder, it's a great resource if you don't know it.)
