DK's rooms: made a quick sweep through DK's rooms, picked up, made beds, etc.

Here's what I've still got to do:

thrift store: gonna look for "old-fashioned clothing for costumes for school pioneer day

That's it! What's everyone else up to?

    ~organized the plastic bowls cupboard
~went & got my hair cut (feels fabulous!)
    ~crocheted

    Still need to:
~go to Staples (gonna try to talk dh into stopping at the thrift store...)
    ~finish laundry
    ~pick up downstairs
    ~maybe vacuum
    ~make dinner
    ~knit & crochet

Fiance is sleeping after getting home from work at 8am, so nothing noisy. I did manage to get...
    1 load of laundry
    2 cups of coffee
    paid 2 bills online
got electric bill ready to drop off
got my taxes done and sent off in the mail(nice refund)

Now I'm just waiting for a phone call from a friend from Texas who is a truck driver and is passing through our area. Not sure if he will be staying overnigt but we plan on at least meeting him at our favorite Mexican restuarant and treating him to a nice dinner. Not Tex-Mex, real Mexican food. There is a difference.

I called my son at 8 a.m. to call when I can come over to help him move, 12:30 and no call so I guess he does not need me with all his friends and in-laws.
I took my teen to work.
    I worked 2 hours.
    I loaded the dishwasher.

Not raining here but have no plans. House is clean, laundry is done. Think i will run to one of the local stores and buy their instore specials with the coupons I clipped since they expire after today and need to run to walgreens to get my free toothpaste from the coupon someone on FV told us about. Need to order the tickets for sea world and sea world luau for our trip to Flordia spring break so I guess I will do that.

Good morning everyone! I'm still a bit of newbie here when it comes to posting, although I lurk quite a bit. Drizzly weather here in Arkansas too. So far I've done a couple of loads of laundry and cooked up some ground beef that was about too far gone in the fridge, so that'll help with next weeks meals. Other than that, just enjoying some downtime after a busy week and trying to kick the sore throat/earache that the temperature change has given me. I've taken my emergen-c and drank hot cider so staying dry and warm is about all that I've got left for the day.

It is just beautiful here! Got up and biked with DH, he went out to golf and I stayed home to prepare for company. I made Paula"s Dip(oh, this is gonna be good) and have the veggies sliced up for some dipping.I made the lasagna for supper. I have been busy making sure the guestroom is neat and have clean linens on the line to dry, then I will remake the bed. Will spend the rest of the afternoon cleaning. After supper we are having a card party.Should be so much fun. Hope you have a happy Saturday!

saturday - woke up to a sunny day, two hours later the heavens opened and we got hit with a wonderful downpour - now no more rain, but the winds are blowing peacefully!!

    today I:

    straightened the living room
    1 load of laundry
ate breakfast with DH - he cooked, I ate and appreciated!!
    made cabbage soup

    yet to do:
    vacuum
Big projects - organize all the sewing I need to do before the end of April and get started including:

By April 11 - Jr. Prom at high school
*hem satin gown with 2 underlayers
    *alter one gown

By April 24th - traditional Hawaiian David Malo celebration at high school
*Sew queen's gown - traditional holoku
    *Sew 16 dresses
*Draft pattern and sew 8 more dresses
    *Sew10 hula skirts

Cannot wait to share pictures with you all. If you ever are on Maui in April you really should join in this celebration put on by the high school students. They practice all year for this one (free) performance. It gives me chicken skin!!
Travel light. The baggage of the past can only hold you back.

Up at 7, left for work about 8:20. I had to come early (for 9:00 opening) because I stupidly left my badge on the desk last night, so I couldn't get in the building. I had to wait until I saw one of the students who lives in the library, and she let me in.

After that, just work (and play on FV) until 11 tonight. My tasks at work:

    Manage the circulation desk
Shelve a few books, though my student worker will do most of that
Check electronic journal links, one of the world's most tedious jobs, but it's a paycheck

Stop by the grocery store on the way home to use an expiring $2.50 coupon

    Crash.
