    Talking

on your graduation. What a busy weekend for you too!

Dave is going to RI today. Kids are still sleeping, and I'm surfing and enjoying the quiet with a cup of coffee.

I'll be doing laundry today as well as straightening up my bedroom, listing some things for sale, reading my Dean Koontz book, and knitting a dishcloth. Oh and I'll probably bake some muffins or something with all the black raspberries that we've been harvesting

    Smile My Saving Saturday plans

    Today's Plans:
    1. Breakfast peacefully
    2. Out to the backyard for some gardening fun, but much more relaxed because it isn't URGENT, just necessary. Lots left to do, so maybe I'll transplant the beans, plant more lettuce, plant the rest of my flower 6-packs, move a few containers around for better light.
And there's much more than that to do, but tomorrow is another day. The lawn needs mowing, and there are more weeds coming up from those Siberian Elm seeds, but things are gradually getting done, and the big-haul of the spring-work is mostly accomplished.
    3. I don't plan on going anywhere, so I think it'll be a NO SPEND DAY.
    4. My homemade ginger ale is in the fridge; I'll try it today and see how it turned out.
    5. Food plans: leftover turkey soup; maybe I'll make some fried pitas for bread to dip into my soup. The next time it rains, I have some cooking & baking plans. Will probably have baked potato wedges, fish sticks, salad for supper. Those 2 big bags of potatoes I bought in June are holding up nicely; won't need to process & freeze them for awhile.
    6. When I'm inside today, I'll do a few loads of laundry.
    7. I've got a hankering for some brownies; hafta see if it leads to some baking today.
    8. I'm just feeling contented and relaxed, and looking forward to a pleasant day of this & that & the other thing.
    9. I'm reading "The Old Man and the Sea" again; I have my own book collection of classics and favourites that I've collected through the years. (The character of 'Santiago' gives me inspiration.)

Have a good one, frugal friends!

Well, I haven't gotten too much accomplished today as my little one is on day #2 of a bad fever.
I did the finances and scheduled some bills to be paid.
I need to do some dishes and laundry.
    Unpack some more boxes.
Catch up on season 3 of Heroes on Hulu.com before 8/1 (they go away then) lol.

Great idea - still cannot imagine you and your DH lazing around!!

    My potatoes are dehydrating.
My bed is ready for new sheets.
Part of the kitchen is clean.
    Shredding papers is started.

I can see that this day is going to be done in bits and pieces!!

I didn't really save much today because our blower on our air went out last night and bought the parts for it this morning. 145.00 poorer. Well, I can look at the bright side and be thankful that are friend fixed it for free this morning. He does heating/cooling for a living and we do the barter system. Good friends.

So it's nice to have air again and the house is finally cool again. Did laundry, cleaned bathroom, and sweeped the stairs and getting ready to prep some veggies and sit on the deck later with my sister and the kids and then play some Wii sports.
