Saving Saturday, 11/28/09
Good morning all!
What a great morning so far! I loooove productive mornings. Just have a hard time getting my hiney out of bed some mornings to do it!
I couldn't sleep last night, so it was 2 am before I finally dropped off. Amazingly enough, I was wide awake at 6:30, so I rolled over and said the magic word to the dog...."WALK?"....he was off the bed and ready to go before my feet even hit the floor!
So far today:
Walked the dog (and myself) for about 25-30 minutes.
Threw together a pot of chili - cooking in the crockpot now.
Emptied dishwasher & re-filled.
Made myself a nice high-protein breakfast - eggs & meat - no bread! Yay me! (Ok, so the flavored creamer in my coffee was decidedly NOT low carb...LOL)
For the rest of the day:
We have all the Christmas decor out and strewn all over the living room, so the tree goes up today and the decor goes up as well, and then the boxes can all be put away.
DD21 and DS18 will continue the kitchen deep cleaning project today by finishing up cleaning out & re-organizing the cabinets, cleaning the floor & windows, and washing, ironing & re-hanging the curtains.
Windows will all be winterized today (covered with plastic). Winter has officially arrived with 30-degree temps all day yesterday!
Normal housework and laundry to be done today as well.
Will make a batch of no-bake cookies & some apple-bran muffins, as well as a caramel apple cake to take to church dinner tomorrow. (Might have to have DD21 help with this one, since I'll be pretty busy today.)
My Ebay goal this weekend is to get ALL my inventory listed, as I have some major bills to pay this next week, and I hope to make some decent sales on Cyber Monday.
Hoping to reach all these goals today, so tomorrow can be more of a day of rest!
Have a great day everyone!

Busy day for me. We got a call last night from our realtor, we have a house showing @ 4pm!! These people have seen our home before, but put an offer on another property. That deal fell through This week, and our home was their second choice!!! Meaning - they want to buy a house! This shoupd keep me busy until I have to leave for work at 11am. I work until Elizabeth, my baby patient, goes to bed - so I've got an action-packed day planned for her to tire her out!!
DH and the teens are at swim practice and lessons, and will be home by two to finish up the floors, and then skedaddle while the showing happens - why don't they want you here during that??? Just wondering.
Have a blessed day everyone - I'm off to clean a bathroom

Well, I think I finally caught whatever cooties my DD has had for a couple of weeks and will probably lay low and just try to get laundry done since we have to travel tomorrow to MIL/FIL to finish winterizing the house and bringing in all the outdoor furniture etc.

Got up early and picked up from last night (DKs and DH held their very own movie marathon last night after I went to bed...hmmmmm).
Went to grocery store (bought $122 worth of groceries for the week which is low for us).
Went by Hobby Lobby and browsed.
Cleaned the tops of my kitchen cabinets and found a handful of change (now who put that there?) which I threw into the change jar for DS's Washington, DC trip.
Re-arranged the decorative items on top of cabinets and refrigerator.
Baked a pan of cornbread. (gotta have my cornbread!)
Going to tackle laundry later and take a nap!

Been hanging out laundry. Last day for a while I will be able to do it. Going to get below freezing so I will have to go back to hanging it in the garage. Took down the autumn decorations. Have to wait for DS1 to get down the Christmas decorations. Dinner will be Italian chicken, pasta and pears.

I finished up a quilt that I needed to take to the quilters to be quilted. She only takes things until December 1st, nothing like waiting til the last minute! I worked at my client's for a few hours today, came home and puttered around outside with the dogs. It was a beautiful sunny day, but a bit chilly. I took a nap, I love my afternoon naps on the weekend! Feeling kind of lazy tonight, so I'm just picking at leftovers for supper and I'm going to sew a binding on a quilted wall hanging. Will probably do some filing and head to bed early. I have to head to the office for a few hours tomorrow.

This has been a great Saturday!!
Spent a lot of time working on the portfolio for my online class. Inbetween I went into town and......
Checked the PO
Made a bank deposit
Bought ink and a Christmas present at Office Max
Bought a special tote at Lahaina Farms
Picked up meds and others goodies at Walgreens
Took a wonderful nap
Watching Arkansas vs LSU too - really good game
Then I'm heading downstairs to....
Start cleaning up DD's room
Work on some sewing projects
As I said - what a great Saturday!!Travel light. The baggage of the past can only hold you back.
