Pretty cold here too! Weather channel says -1! I may venture out for some groceries. I wish I could leave it 'till Monday, but we need milk, bread, fruit and lunch meat for DH's Monday lunch at the very least. Other than that, we may do some small project around the house and just pretty much enjoy eachother's company
Use it up, wear it out, make it do, or do without...
Grocery Budget Challenge: $150/week (for now, will be lower)

Morning all. We have been vandalized again. Went to put the mail out and saw political signs, pink flamingos and t,p. This is the 3rd time in the 4 and a half yrs I have owned the house. No use calling the cops, all they do is run me for warrents. When it warms up a little today I will go out and clean it up the best I can. Staying home. May run to the market but other then that just here

Oh, sorry to hear that, Jamie79! Not exactly on your to-do list today, huh? I am being lazy myself today. DH took the older two kids night skiing last night, so it was just younger dd and myself all evening. Very relaxing! I almost finished my scarf on my knifty knitter! Ha! I feel like a 2 year old using it because I am so inept at crafts, but it does get the job done!

Today will be cleaning, the never-ending laundry, helping DH stack wood, hanging out with the kiddos, and possibly getting stuff together to sell on eBay or Craigslist.
Then again, I might just sit on the couch with my netbook and play on the computer all day!

We won't get above freezing until later in the week here. Doing laundry - hanging it up around the house since it is freezing in the garage. DS1 turns 20 today but we had his birthday dinner Thursday as his fiance was off. Need to help him do his taxes. DH and I will send off amended copies of some past state taxes to get that cleaned up before we file for this year. The rest of the day will be relaxing.

jamie - sorry to hear about your house!

Simple day for me - I hope.
Headed out to lunch (dim sum) shortly with friends. Hope to get cleaning done that has been neglected all week, budgeting, create food journal/logs for DEC and maybe a load of laundry, some reading and tv watching - need to clear off PVR.
Sunny day here - must be cold out
Have a great day everyone!

It was cold here last night too, got down to -5, I think, and as of right now (12:30pm), it's still only 5 above! I decided to forgo fitness classes and knitting class today, because I just didn't want to go out into the cold. I will be cleaning and organizing around the house today. I will eventually have to head out to the library, to return some books and hit the grocery store, but nothing pressing, can do it on my own time, I'm going to spend a nice day in my warm cozy house!

The repair man is here repairing our big tv. After he's done we'll go back to the hospital. I need to work on my bible study as well.

I'll be going to farmer's market & supermarket in a few minutes (after I finish my morning coffee)
Clean up the 2 junk drawers in the kitchen, I saved the 'best' the last.
Pay some bills.
Prepare tonight dinner: pasta w/ chicken, soup & a special dessert.
Also, do laundry.
Have a wonderful weekend.

Today's plans got squashed; DH had to work OT.
Yay, OT = more money!
So as a back-up plan, today is devoted to doing laundry and cleaning up. I made chocolate oatmeal no-bake cookies last night, so we're gonna snack on those all day today. Dinner's going to be baked cheeseburgers with french fries and some sliced cheese/tomato on the side.
I'm tempted to spend some more of the day organizing the kids' playroom, but that's a week long job in of itself.

Find yarn to make hearts for preschool garland - hope to make some some of the hearts today.
Install new security on computer.
Ride stationary bike.
Pull all tax material together.
Read.
Enjoy the peace!
Take care everyone!!Travel light. The baggage of the past can only hold you back.

It is very stinkin' cold today and like many of you, I've opted to stay in the house, too. DH is @ work, and I've so far washed a few loads of clothes and did some painting (2nd coat on doorway trim, and 1st coat on shelf and brackets in closet). I need to actually fold the clothes now and do some more cleaning -- HGTV has been way too tempting today!

I got home from work about 9:30, slept until 3:30 or so, had breakfast while I played Bookworm idly (untimed classic - I'm almost up to 6 million point), did fed and state taxes, and considering that a job well done, I'm rewarding myself with a BIG cup of cocoa and playing around here.
Crocheting tonight I think, for as long as I can, in conscience, put off washing the dishes. I'm off tonight, a great rarity on a Saturday, and it's cold, so I'm glad.Donna
