Gooooood Moooorrrrning Frugal Village!
A no spend day, as I'm not going anywhere.
Trying to get a fire going in the woodstove.
Having coffee and being quiet, because DH is still asleep.
Later---have plans to do some more kitchen cleaning.
Then knit.______

Hi all! I am buzzing down to Boulder today with my daughter. I had initially planned on doing lunch down there, spend the day, but as I am trying to change my ways I think I will skip that and grab us each a Pepsi for the drive instead. We are dropping off some fabric to a friend of mine so its just a quick run, I wanted to go for the car-talk-time with my teen. (she talks a lot more when its just her and I cruising along on a car ride)
Hope you all have a good day and thanks for all the support I have received here, it is really helping me change my ways of thinking back to the frugal lifestyle I used to have.LDR

Snowing here. So we are not going anywhere. Made breakfast and doing some baking today. Just about done cleaning for the day. Now that we are living on the farm and living more conservitive. I don't have alot of cleaning and dusting to do. I sweep and wet mop daily. Dust weekly and do laundry everyday. I don't have a dryer so we need to hang the clothes in the basement for the winter. So I do 1 or 2 loads a day. I do my baking usually weekly sometimes I make sweets after breakfast for the day. With 3 small children they can eat sweets alot!!
Will let the kids watch a movie later. They are out sledding right now with dad. I can't go out in the snow to much with my cast.

Hooray for the weekend! Well, I tried to sleep in, but the kids and dogs weren't having any of it! So, now we are up and at 'em. Youngest dd is making out her valentines' cards for her classmates. I purchased the time-consuming ones where you color them first for her. She's my extremely artistic little busy body!
I tried to start a fire in the woodburning stove, but alas, I was unable after 45 minutes of trying. Urgh! I'll try later, as I'm not a quitter!!!
Today will be spent doing laundry, cleaning bedrooms, mopping floors, and vacuuming. Maybe take a load of garbage to the dump. This afternoon at some point I need to get on the computer with youngest dd and go over a pilot math program that she was chosen to participate in. She was the advanced math student in her kindergarten class. (Shameless praise for dd! YAY!)
This evening we are headed out for a free gymnastics production in town called Flip for the Heart gala. DS's friend is in it, so we thought it would be fun to support him. Maybe we'll eat out, we haven't decided yet.
Have an awesome day, and stay warm, you east coasters! I, too, am jealous of all of your snow. You would think living in the mountains of Montana we would see more...

Good morning FV! This morning I am cleaning (laundry, dishes, litter box, vacuuming, you name it!) and I hope to finish painting my closet today. If I have time and energy, I'd like to get the grocery shopping for next week out of the way, too. Beef tips will be going into the slow cooker for dinner.

The snow has finally stopped. Somehow I was able to sleep in today after waking up to early.
Actually bundled up and walked around the parking lot to get exercise. Will have to wait until later tomorrow to do this again. Right now the parking lot looks like ice. And they are calling for more snow this week. YUCK.
Plan on just doing whatever I feel like doing today. Tomorrow will vacuum, dust and mop the floors.

3. went home for lunch
4. window shopping at Orchard Supply, checking out the cost of veg plants, we are planning to start the planting in 2 weeks time
5. went to grocery shopping, bought 2-3 weeks worth of meat & misc.
6. cut & portioned the meat for freezer
