    Default Saving Saturday 2/27

Hope no one started this thread.

My main goal is to not leave my house so I can clean. The mud is terrible from the melting snow. My ds and his friends bring mud in and so do the dogs. Makes me glad I do not have carpet. I can not imagine what it would look like.

I had a busy week at work. I worked Extended School Day two days this week. Talk about feeling exhausted. Plus the staying after to help prepare for the next day. Sometimes I don't leave until 40 minutes or an hour after my time ends. I like to help my teacher, it really helps make the next day go smoother with the kids if we are well prepared. I think it is just catching up with me.

    Have a great Saturday everyone!

Morning all. I have been sick a good part of this week with an awful stomach virus. This is the 2nd time I have had it. Horrible. I am staying home to stay frugal. I had to go buy a new vacuum so that was some money. I got a Hoover Windtunnel. Our other vacuum was 6 months old and a piece of crap.Working the checkbook too. Have a good day

Well today we have a few errands to run, some frugal, some not. We need to head to the library to return some books and probably pick up a few more and maybe some movies. We need to return some cans and bottles, the money will go in my change jar/vacation fund. I have some coupons that expire today and tomorrow, so I'm going to try and use some of them up, without going over board. Pick up the Early bird sunday paper today and start planning my sales shopping and couponing for tomorrow. Would like to stop by the thrift store and see what's new there. I haven't been in a while and I'm itching for some deals! LOL Then I'll be home to clean up and relax. It's been snowing like crazy all morning, so the driving may be a little hard once I go out, but oh well, Weekends are the only days off so I need to make the best of it while I can.

*Take DD to and pick her up from a 5k, 10k and 1 mile race for Footprints Ministry. She is moderating a portion of the race.

    *Costco

    *Wally World

    *Publix

*Take DD to her work for a training session. Yes, she has her own car and drives, but there are some areas she is not confident driving in, yet.

*DS has his final basketball game tonight.

*DD has a trig test to study for. DS has a science and spelling test and a book report.

*DH, DS and DD are going to the gym to lift some weights while I hang at the house and do some laundry. FUN!!!

Sure woke up to a different Saturday than I had planned. Tsunami warning had me packing up important papers, etc - we are across the street from the Pacific. Almost a good thing that I was too sick to go to Kauai with DH yesterday. He's taking care of all the old relatives there thank goodness!!! None of us think that dear 100 YO uncle should be driving (except uncle of course!!) I know we all feel better that he is there for his mom and sister.

I had some things I wanted to do in my classroom anyway - got here about an hour ago - projected time for tsunami hitting Maui is two hours.....so I should be able to get a lot done.

Roads are starting to close all around the island - smart move since they mostly follow the coast line.

So today is wait and see - safety first. Meantime, I'm glad that I have FV to visit!!

Today I have been a lazy bum. Elbow/wrist are hurting, stomachs feeling finnicky and throat is a lil sore - not sure if I'm dehydrated but I wasn't feeling 100% last night either.

Maybe my body just needs to rest and this its way of telling me?

Ish, sounds like a lot of sickness floating around the Village! We had our own bout with that over the last month. Just one more reason to be excited for Spring!

This morning I got up (too early!) to take my youngest dd to a Girl Scout Thinking Day. It was a long morning, but the girls had fun. Then it was off to Walmart since I was already in town and wanted to get it over with. I went without my list, though, which is never a good idea! I didn't go over budget, so we'll have to see what I missed when I do track down that list.

Now that I'm home, and looking around this pigsty we call home, I have started laundry. Next on my list is first clearing out all the clutter. WHERE TO START? lol

So, after I play on the computer, it's time to get busy! It's sunny and gorgeous outside, at a current temp of 54 degrees! Crazy for the mountains in Montana. Makes me want to open all the windows and air out the place!

Made some french fries and froze them. Woveled a bunch of snow. Took wife (and brought her back) from a craft show. The weather kept people away and it closed early.
