Saving Saturday 10/9/10

What a beautiful day out. Been up early being Molly - as in Molly Maid

So far I've laundered dad's bed linens and his laundry. Cleaned the kitchen & his bathroom, swept, vac and mopped the upstairs. Cleaned out the fridge too - found some angry forgotten items!

All I need to do is get breakfast - yes its 11.15am - and then head out to visit with dad in the hospital for the day.

Happy Canadian Thanksgiving weekend to all those that observe & celebrate. Don't over eat at once - just continually eat all day long

Remember....stretchy pants are best!

Happy Canadian Thanksgiving Libby!

We didn't get back in town until after 12:30 last night from DS's football game and all of us slept in a little today.

Now, DH and I are heading to Wally World, Costco, Publix and bread store.

DD is at an AP Literature study session in preparation for the AP Literature exam in May.

DS is relaxing with his laptop, video games and some SEC college football on TV.

Veggie beef soup is in the crock pot for dinner.

Good Morning - up before 7AM today - even though my body is saying I overdid it yesterday!!

We have company for the weekend - a friend I used to coteach with - my DD's age and a delightful young woman. It's fun catching up and just being together. Weird - her outfit yesterday was the same color combo as mine - not easy to do, but signs of mutual minds!!

I will be heading to the pool to relax and exercise some today - find if I stay at home I want to just do things and I need not to.

The only things I will do today will be planning for my 3 week sub, writting notes and letters to school parents, soccer parents - all those little goodies on my list.

Libby, Hope that your dad is doing well!! - what an angel you are to get his home in ship shape order!!

The week flew by, I can't believe it's Saturday.

I'm pretty un-motivated so far today. I was thinking of going out to buy fabric for Halloween costumes, but I am deterred by the insanity at the stores on Saturdays!

I have a substantial list of things to do today:
-wash 2 loads laundry
-change bed sheets
-bake bread (is usually done by this time... ugh!)
-clean out the garage (won't take long, as it's the size of a postage stamp)
-watch football @ 3:00

So, I have 1.5 hours to do all of that and I'd better get on it! Have a great day everyone!

We are stopping for lunch, have spent the morning helping to move hay and fixing fence.Going to work more after lunch, then getting cleaned up to go to a friends for dinner and cards tonight.I made a big tossed salad and a Tiramisu Cheesecake.Hope you have a great day!

Oh Annymoll, would you might sharing your tiramisu cheesecake recipe?

DH is working today and straight through to Thursday, so he can start his vacation on Friday which coincides with my garage sale we are having this weekend.

I wasn't planning on going anywhere but ended up having to go to WM to get a picture card reader. I need it to list some things on ebay. I have goals of being debt free by this time next year. I did find a good deal on some flashlights and batteries for my emergency kit. We do have a generator and an RV if worse comes to worse but you never know when you just might need a flashlight.

Going to get some pesto made an in the freezer and then work on my quilt.

Busy day for me today. Worked for a few hours, went to the dog show for a while, did a small bit of grocery shopping, I'm trying to eat out of my pantry, picked up some dog food and now I am home! Whew. Doing some laundry, have all of the windows open, getting stuff around to list some more on ebay. I am just about done for the day, I'm pooped!

It's been a fairly busy Saturday here. My friends church was passing out food and clothes, my cousin needed clothes for her boys. So, I took her over and they ended up giving me 2 bags of groceries too and some sweatshirts for my middle 2 kiddos. So, that was great. We passed a yard sale on the way and stopped, she was able to get a great rug for her kitchen and some more clothes for her sons.
I got an amazing fall wreath brand new in the box for $1, some pjs for my oldest son, and a bathtub for the new baby I'm expecting.
We went to the pumpkin patch which wasn't as great as I hoped, but I got some great pics of the kids and we bought one big pumpkin.
Dropped my cousin off and then hit up the goodwill, got some great deals there for the kids and the baby to be.
I'm just working on deep cleaning the house right now and working on all the laundry that needs to be done, washing all my cousins sons clothes too.
