Saving Saturday 12/25
Good early morning and a Merry Christmas to all who celebrate!
I keep getting up in the middle of the night.....it seemed like it was an isolated incident to me, but then I realized it's been happening for several weeks now (even on work nights). I get up around 2 a.m. and can't go back to sleep for 1 1/2 -2 hours.
My right hip keeps hurting me and maybe that's why I am having trouble sleeping all the way through the night? IDK, I need to exercise more, take some ligament producing supplements, and eat better. I'm only 42 and shouldn't be having these issues. Plus, being 125 pounds overweight doesn't help. My goal is to lose 50 pounds next year....that's less than 1 lb. a week which is doable. It's more than a vanity issue at this point.....it's very much a health and mobility issue.
Christmas eve at my brother's was nothing short of magical. I LOVED watching everyone open their gifts, especially my little great nephew. We got him a small Playdough set and he sat there for over TWO hours in his chair playing with it! He is almost four, so I didn't expect him to have so much of an attention span! Near the end of the night, he looked SOOOOO tired, but he would NOT stop playing with his Playdough! haha Even the adults had fun with it playing with him.
Well, I'm just babbling right now because it's late....have a VERY happy holiday!!!!

Good morning, and Merry Christmas! We are at my parents' house, and of course being the freak I am have trouble sleeping in a bed other than my own. So I got maybe 4 hours of sleep, and here I am!

Just wanted to pop in and say "Merry Christmas!"
Have a wonderful and blessed day!

Goodmorning & Merry Christmas!
The fondue was wonderful last night, cheese, wine & bread, what's not to love?!
Another quiet day here. I envy those of you with children and all the excitement Christmas brings to a household this time of year. Love the magic of Christmas.
I'm going to fight the urge to take the tree down today but will do it tomorrow and give the house a good cleaning afterwards. Always amazes me how you can find little pieces of tinsel and glitter for days after putting it all away.
After seeing people buy lobsters & hunks of prime rib I'm feeling very thrifty for cooking up a steak from our freezer, I'd eat that lobster or prime rib in a heartbeat but I'm not paying those prices for food.
A good steak bought on sale works for me.
Hope you all have a fun day doing whatever makes your heart sing.

Good morning and Merry Christmas everyone. DH is still sleeping which doesn't surprise me since he only had about 4 hours yesterday. I'm enjoying a cup of coffee and watching the sun break through the clouds. We got a dusting of snow overnight and it looks beautiful with the sun shining on it. When he gets up we will be getting ready to go to one of his brother's for dinner. I need to clean out my old purse and fill my new one before we go.
Sometime today I need to sit down and call my mom, my 2 sisters, and my kids and let them all know I'm not dead. It's been some time since I talked to them all except my kids. Well enjoy your day everyone and I'll see you here tomorrow.

Merry Christmas, fellow frugal villagers!
Today we are heading to DF's - Dad's - side of the family. We are staying over night tonight and then will drive up to my parent's home in Minnesota tomorrow.
I am extremely burnt out with DF's family - we have seen them so much the past couple of months (and I love them to death, but am just plain burnt out) so I am excited to get away to MN for a week.
We are packing up and getting ready to head out in a couple of hours.
Have a wonderful day, everybody!

Today's plan....exercise any bit of patience I have left between DF and dad and with my brother later when he comes to mooch more money and valuable things er ... money....from dad.
I can't believe the lack of Christmas spirit here and am running on 2 nights w/o sleep. All very poor catnaps and I woke up with a cold this am too.
The plan for today....cook up the veggies for dinner now and just nuke later when my sis brings everything else over already cooked so we're not fighting over the one microwave. And I need to bake that flourless/diary free/gluten free cake for my sister for dessert. Other then that...its a home day here...no money to be spent.
What a crab I am huh? Merry Christmas everyone!

I took a Unisom last night + 2 aspirin, and put earplugs in my ears (ds's and their friends have been jamming in my basement at all hours
)........and slept 10 hours. YES!
I'm gonna take it easy this am , since no one is up, then clean, cook and get ready for round two of Christmas (dh's side of the fam). They don't come till suppertime, so I can take my time.
I am enjoying the little kids and their antics. So cute!
They say the cutest things.
We missed my dad yesterday, but my Mom was here and we had a great time.______

Nothing special today. My two teenagers got up at 6 am and opened their gifts and I went back to bed. Got up and made breakfast and cleaned that up. Went to see my mom. Came home and took a nap. Now am cooking our dinner. Twice baked potatoes and steaks on the grill. Yes, we have a bunch of snow, but it's not far to the grill! Nice relaxing day at home and I haven't spent a dime! Whoo hoo!
