Saving Saturday June 11, 2011
Happy Saturday everyone!!
Since this is a stay at home Saturday for me and I have so much to do, I am breaking my day into 15 minute chunks working on projects here and there. For some people this would not work - but for me it is perfect.
So far I have....
finished sewing my quilt top
Cleared off the square table
Gone through 3 boxes
Started one load of laundry
Paid some bills
Cannot wait to see what else I can get done!!
How is your Saturday going?Travel light. The baggage of the past can only hold you back.

This morning we did errands in a one big loop to save on gas and money. After we got home, I dusted/swept/vacuumed the hallways/family room/kitchen/breakfast area. I made the bed and put last night dishes away and washed up today's dishes. I still need to repot 3 geraniums before turning in tonight.

My Saturday has been focused on reorganizing and sorting the closet. I have a huge box or three for Goodwill donation. And frankly I'm quite impressed at whatelse I can purge after doing this back in November. Over 30 pairs of shoes, 10 purses and other misc things.
DF has taken the time to find my desk and set up my computer as well as finding his desk and setting up the wiring properly - I swear, one wire finds another so easily and then they merge...into 10 and get tangled!!
We both just stopped for a dinner break but I'm eager to get back and finish it so I can cross it off my list and call it a night!
Nice, quiet & frugal Saturday don't you think?2012: The Year Of The Purge!

Beautiful Saturday. Washed dishes and hung 2 loads of laundry in house to dry. Spent day really being lazy. Made grocery list for tomorrow. We have this thing were you mix and match 10 selected items and you save $5 and can do this 5x at 2 stores here. So am going to hit them up with coupons for a few things. Cleaned up new used patio furniture. So I guess a frugal and easy Saturday.

Ok...I'm a day late posting this, but oh well...

*went grocery shopping and oh my, prices are a climbin'! Spent $40 and $20 at two different stores.
*took the kids to the pool for entertainment
*it finally rained...unfortunately it was after we had watered most of our gardens
*all meals at home
*took Gatorade with me while running errands that way I wouldn't be tempted to buy overpriced bottled water
