    Default Saving Saturday, August 20th

Got up at 9:30 - started a crock pot of soup (bean, potato, veggie). My mom gave me 8 red potatoes and a big zucchini...which I added to the onion and part of a clove of garlic she gave me last week...threw in some great northern beans...it's smelling tasty, already! Will add some more veggies later today (from freezer). Should be at least 8-10 servings, when all is said and done and all it will have cost us is some freezer veggies, dried beans (bought on sale!) and spices. Woot! Hooray for moms who buy extra! hehehe

Have the dishes running, a load in the washing machine, and am continuing on my computer project - I'm SO close to done!! Yay!

This afternoon I'm meeting a friend to get some massage work done on my neck (she's licensed). Not the relaxing, fun kind of massage - but, the "doctor wants this tissue worked on" kind...but still, it helps her get her business off the ground and I get a discount for being a friend. Not to mention the work done on my neck that I need!

Dh is helping a friend move today, so between all we're doing we'll be going thru plenty of gas (bleh!), but our food will be cheap (and nutritious/yummy), so at least there's that! I'm thinking of running by the library on the way to massage therapy...a couple movies and a book sound nice on this very rainy and chilly weekend.

Packed up my last son and took him to college today also took him misc. shopping. We took him out to eat before we left as a treat for all the hard work. It was a good day overall. He's playing tennis there also so we hope to get to see him play some matches!

Today's a Saving Saturday for us!

We've stayed in the house all day, out of the heat, just chilling watching movies and playing on the computer. Dinner was a pork roast and I got a few loads of laundry done as well as managing to get a few naps in - didn't sleep well at all last night.
