Saving Saturday November 5th,2011

Happy Saturday morning to all!
I was reading through some of the daily savings posts and I think friday,saturday and sunday are often the hardest to be no or low spend.
Today I am being strong though! I am staying home and working on my knitted Christmas presents as well as some I hope to sell at a school Christmas bazaar in December!
That said, my motives are not all that pure!
I am not spending today because tomorrow I am off to the New England Fiber festival! Yay!

Already spent money at the mall this week so I should be good for the month. Yea, right there is a coupon for Old Navy that is good in the middle of the month so I know I will just HAVE to use it.

But my plans are to stay home today so that should keep me out of trouble.

That's how I don't spend money most of the time--stay away from the mall and shopping places in general.

But then, I like to stay at home...

I almost didn't spend any money so far today. I ordered my free 25 photos from Walgreens (got photos of my new baby for his album) and then put together the free desk calendar using the CD of our family portraits we bought recently, so I can give it to my hubby for Christmas. The calendar is free but it does cost about $6.00 in shipping. Well worth it though to get such a nice gift so cheaply. Now I just have to stay home and out of stores the rest of the day and I should be good.

I have managed not to spend any money today so far, but DH did some (out of his pocket money, so no worries for me lol) We took the kids to the monthly kids workshop, where they made picture frames - free of charge, and our store provides snacks and juice boxes for the kids as well, put some gas in my car (DH's money lol - but he is the one who ran all my gas out anyway). Also walked through the flea market for a few minutes. Was so cold and windy that we didn't stay long, and didn't spend anything. Rest of the day will be spent at home, I'm puttering around cleaning and cooking, kids outside playing, and DH is working on his truck, so should be no spend rest of the day.
