Sizzling Saturday

Even though it is not a particularly hot day today, its gonna be getting a little hotter in my kitchen.

Today I'm giving the kitchen a new coat of fresh white paint and starting in on my chili pepper theme...I told you it is gonna get a little hotter in there. I have been waiting and collecting things and now I'm starting!!!

So far DH has

cleaned the kitchen,
scrubbed the kitchen floor on his hands and knees
vacuumed the enire house
put away all the laundry I folded!!!

Do you think he must want something?

I am glad our temps are finally in the 80's. It sure feels better than those 90's!

Today I went to get a haircut! I have needed one since before school started, but kept putting it off. I took DH lunch and went to Eckerd's for some FREE-bates. I need to sit down and clip coupons for a grocery trip.

Good afternoon ladies! We are getting the remnants of Tropical storm Henri today so it has rained on and off all day. We went to some yard sales, but didn't get much.

DH found something today while I was waiting in the car. He told me he couldn't wait for me to open it, but it had to be in front of the kids. When I reached in the bag, it was an old marching band uniform, the exact one that we used to wear in our high school. We had a good laugh over that. Now that DD is in the marching band, he said I had to wear it when chaperoning, lol.

I'm making DD's clean their room today. What a disaster. They have been fighting me every step of the way. I washed down their walls, and am waiting for them to get all the junk out from under Raechel's bed. I hate cleaning their room, they have too much stuff. I'm washing all of their bedding and such, so when we are done, it will have been housecleaned.

DH took off again and did nothing around the house today. Guess I won't make dinner again.

I need to get my Sunday paper and clip the coupons, and then make my list to get free stuff (hopefully)

Still keeping an eye on Isabel, looks like we may get it eventually.

DH got up at the crack of dawn to go fishing so I got up and went to a bunch of yard sales. There were a ton of neighborhood yard sales this weekend. After yard saling, I swung by the grocery to pick up a few things. Since then, I haven't been very productive. I have done 1 load of laundry and made lunch. Now, it is suppertime and I am trying to figure out what to make. Have a good evening everyone!!!

I just got home from work and made dinner (HM Chicken soup and sandwiches) I have crafts to do tonight.... I found a little baggie at a yard sale with 5 extinct sharks teeth in it (10 cents)
and I'm making a couple of sharks tooth chokers for dd for Christmas....

Today we FINALLY bought a new computer chair for my desk. It was 10$ less than Carl hoped to spend and exactly what I wanted

Carl took someone else's on call for just today, and so far he's got TWO jobs! We REALLLY need that extra $$ to help pay off the CC!! I recently found out we are way worse off than I had thought

Ayla's asleep right now. I watched joe shmoe and worked out for about 30 minutes and took a shower. So now I feel refreshed, and I have my soft music on.

oh, and Carl went and got my car smogged for me today! I was shocked! But then again I'd been nagging about that for forever...

I have enough things to keep me busy the rest of the weekend that's for sure. It seems like I can never 'catch up' on housework.

I went to Joann's today to buy a new cutting mat (50% off! ), and to get some new needles and quilting thread.

Then I got my hiar cut and colored. After that we went bike riding. Had a really good time.
