Sunny Saturday Check In
Mornin' all. What's going on this weekend at your place? How's your weather gonna be?
We've got another chance at rain, which lately has felt more like looking in the window at the candy store, but not being able to afford to go inside.
Everyone around us seems to get it and we get a sprinkle followed by a dust storm. Fingers crossed for today though.
I'll be putting on the bridal shower this morning. Had lots of great help last evening and we got it all set up and ready to go. Just have to show up, light some candles, throw the punch in the bowl, put the cakes out and voila', we're ready to go. Looking forward to it and then to the afternoon. I think we'll be staying close to home all weekend afterward. Gonna do some housework and laundry and some sleeping. I'm kinda tired at the moment.
Hope you have a great, restful and fun filled weekend!

Been cleaning up the back porch. It seems to be a catch all in the summer.
Dipped the dog, the fleas have been terrible this year.
Did poop patrol in the yard.
Feed all the animals
Got a load of landry going
Going this afternoon to take a friend to try on wedding dresses. The wedding has been moved up to July 15th so we're looking for something simple and affordable. lol
This evening will be a queit night around the barn. Tommorrow DH and I will go off to Orlando to work on a job. Its easier for us to do our part of the job on weekend when fewer subs are in the way.
Watching the weather looks like we may get more rain today. Had a great thunder and lighting show last night around midnight! Scared the dogs to death! Our rottweiler crawled under the bed as shook the whole thing. If the burgalars could see her now!

Well, I just woke up (about 8:30) so DH was kind enough to let me sleep in. I had a week of hell at work this week and I woke relieved it was all over. I am looking forward to a little relaxation. As a result of working constantly this week, my house is a mess. DH and I will work together this morning to get it cleaned up and looking nice. Today is my mom's birthday so I need to go by and drop off her gift. We have a wedding to go to this evening, and I am looking forward to that. It will be a busy day, but at least I won't be at work.
I guess I'll be going grocery shopping tomorrow or Monday.

We just woke up also. I have a lot of laundry to put away. I need to straighten things up in the house, everything seems to be somewhere where it shouldnt. I wanted to take my son swimming today but we are under a flood watch till tomorrow night. Funny we were under a flood watch yesterday too and it didnt rain till overnight! Hubby is working today so if it is not raining when he gets home we will be going fishing. I really love spending time with my guys fishing, it is soo peaceful and relaxing.

It is raining here in my area. Nothing really big planned for the day. I have to pack my ds1 and ds2 clothes for football camp. They leave tomorrow. Other than that, I don't have a lot of stuff to do today. I am gonna relax and do nothing.

I was hoping to get some sun today or tomorrow, but right now its overcast with a chance of afternoon/evening thunder storms. Paige is napping so I may take a book and sit on the back porch and read for a little while before I think about lunch.

Today and tomorrow it will just be hot, hot, hot! Today 107-108 degrees, tomorrow 109-111. Going to try to stay inside except for the shopping I will be doing in a little while, some outside watering and I have to go to a good friend's 50th birthday party in the next town over today. Oh my gosh I can't believe how hot its going to be.
“When you get to the end of all the light you know
and it's time to step into the darkness of the unknown,
faith is knowing that one of two things will happen:
you will be given something solid to stand on,
or you will be taught how to fly.” - Edward Teller
“Our Earth is degenerate in these later days;
there are signs that the world is speedily
coming to an end;
bribery and corruption are common; children no
longer obey their parents;
every man wants to write a book and the
end of the world is evidently approaching.”
— From a translation of an inscription on
an Assyrian clay tablet, circa 2800 B.C.E.
God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
courage to change the things I can,
and the wisdom to know the difference.

It is going to hot and muggy outside here today so I am going to stay inside and keep cool. The only thing on my agenda today is a quick trip to the library to pick up a book and then maybe grill a steak on the charcoal grill tonight and watch a movie with DH.

DH and I woke up early and went and had breakfast. Then we headed to a few garage sales and picked up a few things before it started raining! We have a chance of rain on and off throughout the day and going into Sunday morning.
I am taking Dakota to a bowling birthday party this afternoon.
Other than that, I would like to relax the rest of the day.~*Michelle*~

DH had to work this morning and just made it home a bit ago. If the rain holds off, we are taking the boat out this evening. Earlier, I went to the tanning bed (gotta get my base tan so I don't blister when we go to the beach in a few weeks) and then stopped in Kroger for some free stuff.
No big plans for tomorrow ~ just some laundry and general clean up probably. Hope everyone has a great weekend!
