I put chili in the crockpot this morning. In a little while I am heading down to Plattsmouth to meet with my study group. After that I'll come back home and relax.
On 11-22-85 I married the man of my dreams.
On 01-13-89 I gave birth to the love of my life.

Good morning all!!
I am keeping a friends kiddos..had them overnight and til about 1 today. So I am doing the kid thing...I made the bed, made breakfast, got kiddos dressed, and got something out for supper. I am going to get dressed and start looking for things around the house to sell on ebay or half or on the homeschool board. Then after the kiddos are picked up, I'm gonna go to the new house and paint doors, the laundry room, and help DH. Hopefully we can get the laundry room done or almost done this weekend.
Should be a good day! Tonight we'll relax and watch some TV.

Let's see, today...I made french toast n bacon for breakfast and have chili simmering on the stove for whenever we're ready to eat it later.
Library- we're all in need of fresh reading material--me, my two hooligans and even the babysittin' babies lol.
Grocery shopping- my list is ready, a pretty good 10 for $10 sale going on, it should be a good trip overall.
The House- I must mop the kitchen floor at some point today, that's the only thing I'm determined to get done!
We usually have Upward basketball on Saturdays, but the girlie isn't feeling up to par today--she's rarely sick, po' thing. She'll stay here in her 'spot' on the couch beside Daddy and be completely rotten(more so somehow)while I'm in and out for a bit.

Temps dipped down to 28 here last night so we brought our cat Willie in to stay. He usually doesn't like being in at night cause he's a night prowler, but he gratefully accepted the offer last night, LOL. He will use the litter box but for some reason, he didn't want to last night, so he had me up early this morning. I opened my eyes and there's this big cat face staring at me. He actually looks like Garfield, except he's a grey tabby. I'm up, he's out, does his thing, he's back in and back in the bed with hubby while I'm wide awake and can't get back to sleep. I made coffee and breakfast, fixed DH's lunch and supper since he had to go in at noon and may not get off until midnight tonight. Oldest DD called to say she and the grandkids are coming this afternoon to spend the night and go to church with us in the morning, so I'll wait to mop the hardwood floors until Monday, LOL. I think I'll run into town here shortly and buy the fixin's for chili tonight and spaghetti for tomarrow after church.

just the usual...
grocery shopping
dishes
cook dinner later
DH usually has weekends off, but had to go in to work today because they're doing inventory. He's not happy about having to work on a Saturday and working a 6 day week but he's happy about the overtime pay.“When you get to the end of all the light you know
and it's time to step into the darkness of the unknown,
faith is knowing that one of two things will happen:
you will be given something solid to stand on,
or you will be taught how to fly.” - Edward Teller
“Our Earth is degenerate in these later days;
there are signs that the world is speedily
coming to an end;
bribery and corruption are common; children no
longer obey their parents;
every man wants to write a book and the
end of the world is evidently approaching.”
— From a translation of an inscription on
an Assyrian clay tablet, circa 2800 B.C.E.

courage to change the things I can,
and the wisdom to know the difference.

A little chilly this morning and breezy, but the sun is out. Hope I can talk Hubby into a walk later. I received a gift card for Panara Bread company($20) we may go try there cafe. This place is new out here and we have no idea what it's like? Need to give Hubby a hair buzz and of course more laundry. Hope you all have a super nice saturday.

Late in the day, but I have:
*Did the morning routine (make beds, feed and dress kids, etc)
*Unloaded the dishwasher
*Done two small loads of laundry
*Cleaned out the litter box
*Answered some emails I have been meaning to answer
*After dh got home from work and the kids had had lunch, we went to do the grocery shopping
*Put away groceries and packaged up the meat we bought in bulk
Still to do:
*Fix dinner (soup and sandwiches) and clean up
*Do the bedtime routine with the kids
*If I find the energy, vacuum upstairs before dinner
*Help dh on a project for work after the kids go to bed
*Play a game of cards with dh after the project is done
*Go to bed at a decent hour because we have Mass in the am.

I LOVE Panera!!!
As for me, my Saturday is almost over (10 more minutes...lol)But today I,
Went through my closet to take out clothes that are too stained/stretched out to wear and have just been taking up same (very limited space) Then I ironed all my shirts so that I'll actually wear them. For some reason almost all my shirts require ironing, but almost none of my skirts do....go figure. Most were given to me second hand, so I'm not complaining....
Then we went to a friend's house to celebrate her birthday (a very big thing here). I wasn't planning on this, it was very last minute, so it was a good thing I didn't have supper going when I found out we were supposed to go.
I've been feeling ill since the dinner so I took it easy this evening. Layed down for a while, spent some time on the net. Planned our menu for the coming week and my grocery list for tomorrow.

Well. we had a basketball game this am and another this pm. Other than that I have a day all to myself. Being the time of year it is (tax season/ end of year budget reconcil time) DH has to go on th office today and do some work. Bot kids are with their grandparents until the game tonight. I have taken a nap and I plan to just sit around. Being a SAHomeschoolM I never get a day to myself so I am doing NOTHING but enjoying me!!!

Worked on my budget this morning.
Met my dd and adorable 2 yr old grandson for lunch at Mcdonalds.....our idea of fine dining wtih a toddler. He was very well behaved and funny and I paid for his happy meal as a treat.
We went to Kohl's so my daughter could look from some new clogs as her dog chewed hers. I was tempted to buy myself a Tshirt but I put it back (a big step for me.
We are in the midst of a cold-snap this weekend so very cold out.
Had an invite from my "gentleman-friend" to go over to his house tonite, but am going to a friends Silpada home jewelry sales-party tonite so will get together with the girls and see my friends new baby. She also puts out great food, so that will pretty much be dinner. Will try not to spend any/or too much $."The average pencil is seven inches long, with just a half-inch eraser - in case you thought optimism was dead." ~Robert Brault
