    Smile Soggy Saturday!

Raining here, with the tropical storm. We need the rain so bad, everyone is so happy! Super humid, and about 79 degrees with tornado warnings.

Today is dd's Slumber Birthday Party. Still don't know how many girls are coming. We'll have pizza and cake later on.

    Have a great Saturday!

Oh, isn't the rain WONDERFUL! I know I heard the yard sigh when it started yesterday. We are working on sorting throught some stuff in the garage today as we cleared out a shed yesterday at a home in Sarasota. Plugging in the deep freezer to see if it works. What a freebie! Also got a ton of craft magazines in a rubbermaid tote with a lid! I lucked out all around on this clean out.
Poor DH he was hopeful since it was a shed that there would be tons of manstuff. Only man item was a snow shovel! Which he is going to mount on the fence in our tropical garden with a sign, "Lest We Forget".
Going over the bridge tonight to St. Pete to visit with sister and Bil.

    All quiet here

We need some rain soooo bad. We only got 0.2 (yes, just 2/10) of an inch of rain for the entire month of May. Our average rainfall amount for May is 12.5 inches. Our yard is one of only a few that is actually green because we water it daily. The majority of the yards in our city are dark brown and burnt looking.

Today we are going to work on
    ~laying the new floors
    ~some more painting
    ~WM for groceries
    ~Sam's for more groceries
~DD's team party for her volunteer work
    ~Take DS to batting practice
~Clean out the pool some more

    Have a great day y'all!!!

It's soggy here too...but only because of the humidity

I had to work this afternoon, but it was so dead (probably everyone is at the beach!) I was there less than 2 hrs. Came home & took my boys to their school's fundraiser. For 50c each they entered their names into the drawing for a Race Care Rug (Retail $50). They WON!! Woot! Practically free rug for their bedroom and all the money earned goes to the school's new playground equipment

    I've also:
    ~done the dishes
~gone to the grocery store for hotdogs that I forgot (gotta edit my June Grocery Challenge...)
    ~made the potato salad

Now I'm just trying to stay cool..

It is hot here today!! DH had to work, but DS#2 and DS#3 went to watch our high school girls softball team play for the state championship. The girls ended up winning the state title!! YEAH!!! It was a great game and I am glad we took the time to drive the 1hr and 15min trip to watch them.

DH took us to eat when he came home from work, so I didn't have to cook anything. I need to go through the pantry and freezer and see what needs restocking. DH and I will go grocery shopping in the morning, so I want to make sure I don't buy something we don't need.

The only household chore I have done today is one load of laundry and hung it out to dry.

Gripey and I had been hoping to take our ebay boat to the lake today but when we got up it was cloudy and overcast. After a couple of hours is burned off and the sun came out and we were scurrying like squirrels around here trying to get things together to go. Got off from here at 12:30 and had a WONderful day at the lake. It was like glass which doesn't happen very often here. The water was too cool to enjoy swimming in but Gripey fished and I read and sunned..... We went to the local Thai place after arriving home and ate for $12. It was a good day

~48 yr. old sahw, livin' it up in our empty nest, smack dab in the middle of everywhere.~
