Saturday Savings
What is going on today?
I was going to be going on the motorcycle with dh, BUT, the babysitter is sick. SO, dd and I are going to go to the library, Publix, and Winn Dixie instead, yippee.
Then home to read (can't put down those Janet Evanovich books), crochet, and some knitting. Maybe clean up the daycare toys and stuff.
Hope everyone has a great day!

I am spending the day clearing our clutter and pricing it for the humungo garage sale we are having next weekend. We will be selling the old inventory from my now closed down gift basket company - anybody need some baskets?
Also got to get in some software testing that I am doing for my old employer.
Hope ya'll have a great day!

I'm on a rare day off with hubby. We're hitting Home Depot and a couple of other stores to go paint shopping, and shower enclosure shopping for the bathroom we are renovating. So it won't be a frugal day! But we did decide last night to go cheap with the bathroom, don't do as many things as we had thought we would, and instead renovate the bedroom as well with the money we save, so maybe we are being frugal? That's what I'm telling myself :-)

It's just the kids and I till after five. Dh has class and then work. I haven't been feeling good the last couple of days so our start has been slow. The kids are "swimming" in the tub right now because the pool needs dumped. It rained all week and it's just too yucky to salvage. The sun is shining but I imagine it's miserable hot outside. I need to finish up some laundry, finish making my menu (apparently a month long challenge lol), and make to-do list and baby needs list.

The first thing I am going to try and do today is eat solid food. I have been sick since Thursday and have been on a clear liquid diet. I am so sick of jell-o and broth.
DH has taken DS and DD to batting practice. Since DS's hand has been in a cast he has not been able to bat everyday like he normally does.
Then DH is dropping the kids off at the gaming center. They deserve a day of mindless video game playing. They are both buying the all-day pass (only $20 each and well worth it - Maw-Maw gave them each $20 and that is how they want to spend it)). I imagine we will take them some dinner up there around 5:00 and pick them up between 10:00 or 11:00 tonight.
DH needs to cut the back yard at some point.
I want to get out of the house and just ride around and goof off. So just have to wait for DH to take me out for a ride.
Need to go to the sporting goods store and get DD a new mouth piece for volleyball. Her new season starts Monday.DD (19)

I'm ready for bed already!!
This morning I ran a few errands with the boys. Target (yippee!!), Price Chopper (used my $10 off school supplies), and the commissary.
Now I'm home but about to run up to dh's work to take him some lunch. He forgot it this morning.
This afternoon I need to get the house picked up, vacuumed, & put away the rest of the laundry.
After the kids go to bed, I need to pull out ds' birthday presents & get them wrapped.

Today I did a Product Demo at Publix. Came home and I have washed a load of towels and made a homemade chocolate cake. Tonight it's a movie - Wild Hogs.

We have our towns festival/parade. My DD16 is marching with the band in the parade so we will go watch this. Lots of free candy thrown out at the parade along with pins, cups and other dodads. We usually browse the booths, but hardly ever purchase anything. The rest of the day will be relaxing on the sofa.

I didn't get a whole lot done today. Still not 100% over my sinus infection, but much better. I managed to get the kitchen cleaned, swept and moped plus a couple of loads of laundry and that was it. I'm ready to lay on couch and watch a movie.

Gripey and I and dd#2 went to the lake today after brunch at home. We spent a lovely, calm day water skiing, reminiscing and more water skiing...it was blissful. We came home at around 4:30 pm and I whipped up a taco salad and then we all had a shower. Dd had to go on home, a 3 hours drive, so she took off. We had a nice over nite visit with her just before she begins her new job on Monday.
