I'm pretty much a novice, starting just a couple of years ago. I had no supplies at all, but was invited to a scrapbooking/cardmaking group at church. I enjoyed it so much that I started to gather supplies, and now have a nicely supplied area in the basement. I really struggle getting pages finished, tho. Journaling for me takes a lot of time because I am so verbose! Also, I've packed away a lot of pictures, and it takes so much time to find them and sort thru them. I also don't want to cut some of them, so I scan them and send to Walmart for processing, and that takes up more time. Currently, I am taking a Bible study/scrapbooking class at church, where we are creating a scrapbook of our faith journey. I'm really enjoying it but as usual, I am behind!

I started in May of 1999. I try to set a few hours a week aside, but it doesn't always work out!

I've been scrapbooking about 7 years. It is so much fun, I just wish I had more time for it.

I was scrapbooking before it was called "scrapbooking", lol. But seriously, I've just started the 'new & improved' type of scrapbooking a year or so. I too lacked the supplies that so many are buying and had no money in my budget for them so I've been picking up things here and there along with new ideas along the way. Mine may not be professional but are yet still pretty. I also have a problem cutting up a picture so I try to make sure I have 2 copies, lol, I am hopeless, hehehe.

    I digi, does that count?!

I made my first paper page in 2002, but lacked the time, commitment, know-how and dash to do more than a few pages... I also had serious guilt over cutting up photos - don't know why just did, it seem like a far worse crime than writing in a book (you have to know me to understand that! LOL!) I also had serious issues with sharing my *STUFF* with my then 2 yr old, so I stopped until my friend introduced me to Digital scrapbooking in Feb 2006. I promptly lost my marbles! LOL! I can scrap each night and finish about 95% of my pages the night I sit down to it. Have no guilt if I don't like it in the AM redoing portions of it or starting from Scratch.

My favourite technique is to find a challenge on the digi boards for the night and then make a page reflecting each of my children or myself... I can do about 2-4 pages a night depending on where the mojo heads that night and that's after the kids go to bed! LOL!
