I am so excited, but don't know what I should do first. ROLF! I have my disney memorie book I bought 2 years ago, finally took the plastic off it. I have spent over a hundred in the last week buying stuff..........lots of paper, pens, disney punches today, glues, tape etc... And here I sit.
I bought a cd-rom of scrapbooking a couple of years ago, it too sits still in the pkg. At a disney outlet in orlando I bought a few of their clearnce pages, the book at WDW, have the mats etc for cutting. Lots of pictures...........and still frozen! HELP! someone tell me what I should do first. ROLF
So i sit....and sit... things all around me. Overwhelmed as usaual.
You should probably keep it simple at first so you don't become more overwhelmed than you already are. Mount a couple of pictures on your paper with a header (topper)...maybe a couple of stickers, and don't forget to "journal" (explain what is going on in the pictures). Future generations will want to know all the details.
I recommend that you first sort some pictures. Group them into events. For example, if you have pictures from your trip to Disney, group them together and put in a food storage size ziplock bag. Then add paper that you would like to use as well as stickers, mats, etc.
If you haven't already done so, you might want to invest in an idea book--Creative Keepsakes makes a good one as well as Memory Makers, etc.
If you have specific questions, please feel free to email or PM me or post here.
I hope this helps a little!

Okay deep breath you can do it!!!
I did scrapbooking for the 1st time yesterday and totally LOVE it!!
I don't really too much advice since I took a class but start with a certain event and do one day at time :~)
Those site Chelle listed are a good start!
How did it go??
I would love to start, but am soooo scared I will overspend and go way overboard.
Maybe I'll just start gathering up some supplies.

I just started doing a birthday page for each boy....birthdays are easy to do and so festive that its not hard to make a pretty page....then they inspired me to do other pages.....I admit..I frequently steal ideas from my scrapbooking coordinator....well....shes just so darn clever!.......so I save all of her newsletters....and then do what she does!!! LOL
