If you take out the spiral and you don't want a metal one back in again, you can take the whole kit-n-kaboodle to an office supply store, OfficeMax, Staples, Office Depot, (maybe even a UPS Store, ask Kat, she might know), Kinkos, etc. Ask them to put a plastic spiral binding on it.

...these plastic spiral bindings work great too for binding kids artwork etc also. I do one "book" a year for each of the kids artwork pieces. About twenty papers all bound together, we make a cover (they decorate) that includes the year and child's name. For stability you can have the front and back covers laminated.

Cute idea! I really like your plastic spiral binding idea, Missy. I need to do this. Isabel is a prolific producer of "art".

Cool, I love decorating/ Making notebooks - very easy to do!

here is one of the notebooks I made for gifts for people - I just cover the notebook in paper and then decorate..the butterfly on here is just a simple Iris folded paper..incredibly easy to do and looks pretty effective. I made a load of these for Ciaras friends as gifts
