Brand new to scrapbooking
If you were brand new to scrapbooking where would you start?
I mean what basic things do you need?
I am very excited about this because I have a lot of stuff from my honeymoon and other special occassions and I think a scrapbook would be perfect.

I would suggest the basics:
- colored cardstock
- a good pair of sharp scissors (I prefer cutter bees)
- some adhesive
- acid-free pens
You can get started with those things and do a pretty good job. I would suggest finding a good how-to book for beginners that shows basic techniques. Once you know what types of things you like to do, you will be better able to determine what other supplies you really need.
Good luck and have fun! Be careful! It's VERY addictive!
Nothing can taste as good as being thin will feel.

I'm just getting started myself but I got 2 kits at Big Lots for $1.99 each. Says it makes 8 pages each. It has 8 sheets of paper, alphabet stickers, 6 photo framers, 6 tag accents and a lettering guide. I also picked up a pair of special cut scissors for $1 at the dollar store. I didn't want to spend too much yet and this will help me get started.

When I first started I picked up a kit that had scissors (the ones that cut decorative edges) a scrapbook, paper and some stickers, frames, etc. to get you started. I think it was about $15-20.
They have them at walmart
