I'm Coming In!

Okay ladies...at the end of September, I'll hopefully be joining you on this thread. I'm taking a scrapbooking class at the local craft store with my 2 sisters-in-law. My college roommate does scrapbooking and we were out there for a vacation a few weeks ago and I just loved looking at her stuff. So much better than a plain old photo album. So, we're taking the class and I hope to put my memories in a much better light!

I would like to start doing this. I went to my local scrapbook store (Scrap Attack) and was overwhelmed by all the possiblilities.
Do you guys scrapbook topics or certain items? I have lots of memorabilia that I want to put together. Things that I like to collect or things that I am interested in. Like an over animated journal

Whats the first step to take? Any help would be appreciated.
