Inexpensive paper idea
I don't go all out for the acid free stuff, I have found it not to be affordable for us. I use a good cardstock for the background but for some of the papers I layer on I use giftwrap. You can get so many fabulous colors and designs at the dollar store and the leftovers are easy to put to good use. It cuts easily into whatever shape you need for your backgrounds.
My daughter is on vacation with the camera. When she returns I will post some of the pages I have been creating.
Happy scrapping!

I do most of my scrapbooking digitally. We bought a digital camera a couple of years ago so all new photos go straight in. Over the last few years I've been working on getting the old family photos scanned. Then I arrange them into pages with journaling using interesting backgrounds, fonts, etc. If someone wants something I either print them out on photo paper or burn a CD.
A lot of our old family photos were damaged from mishandling so the computer is helping me save those images.
