I have an Canon Pixma iP4200
I find this prints beautiful photos and te ink tanks are only $20 for the genuine ones each or $9 for the compatable ones.
This is far chaper than my old HP printer.

I have this same printer! I've had success with it too. I like Canon products anyway--both my digital cameras are Canons too.
My last Epson somehow managed to break in a way that I found out many others had broken too--it still "printed" like it thought it was working, but pages would come out blank, even with full ink tanks.
I get generic ink tanks for my printer on eBay. Usually find them 3 for $12 or $14 with free shipping.

I have an epson and i like it. i printed pics when i first got it but you go thru ink so fast and it can be pricey (don't forget the paper). I order mine online now. There's several places: Walmart.com, winkflash, shutterfly, etc. I personally use winkflash. They often have sales like 6 cents each for 4x6s. Normal price is 12 cenrs each but 99 cents shipping - unlimited number of 4x6. They also have larger prints for awesome prices.

What with the cost of the paper, I find it more cost effective to print our photos at Walmart. With coupons it is only 10 cents per print.

Just wanted to point out also that the least expensive printer is rarely the best deal because it's the ink where you pay. I get generic ink tanks so that slashes cost, but it's important to find a printer that doesn't eat through ink as fast.

I have a HP photosmart... and while it prints beautifully... I didn't take into consideration the cost of ink when I bought it. I also use an outside source for printing my 4x6's.... but do occasionally use my printer for special projects such as a large photo I want to frame for a last minute gift....
