    Default Does Anyone Digi-scrap?

I tried paper scrapping years and years ago when my oldest was 3 but I had this little problem of having to share supplies - I apparently failed Kindergarten! - so I would only scrap when she went to bed, which would mean well after 11... because neither of my kids believe in sleep! LOL!

So roll forward a few days and I discovered Digital Scrapping - which means I can make them up with no fuss, no muss, no mess.... and when I'm ready to print a batch I can send them to one of the online places or print them from my computer - but i admit to being a snob when it comes to my pics so I always send them out.

So all that to ask.... does anyone else digi? I was sold, hook line and sinker after 3 layouts! LOL!

never have either...I have this feeling of not wanting to try it, I like to get my hands in the process with the photos and papers, and not on the computer. HoweveR, I am seeing that it is the "wave of the future."

I do it and I love it. It is so much cheaper too. My husband bought me a digital scrapbook program from Dell. It is so easy. I can crank out a page in less than 15 minutes. For Christmas I gave digital scrapbooks away. It only cost me the CD. I would have printed them out but that would have been expensive.

There are a ton of sites that let you down load things for free too. I love www.simplysarah.com but there are others also.

This sounds interesting. Can you print your own or do you have to print it out on photo paper. If I am understaning correctly you set up the whole page with embelishment and print the page all at once? Is this correct? So no more cutting, pasting with glue etc. If so that's a bonus. I would love to know more.

I have a digital scrapbooking program, but have only used it to print out different embellishments or journalling boxes. I like the whole cutting and pasting part of scrapbooking.

However, I have seen beautiful digi-scrapped pages that you couldn't tell from traditional scrapped pages....

Sorry I couldn't get back in to post again! But I found my way!

Mamaof2rugrats, there are 60 day free trials of programs like Adobe Photoshop Elements and Creative Suite, there are 90 day free trials of Corel's PSP, and I'm sure there are others too! You could try any of them, and then hook up to the scrapbooking sites and do the tutorials. It is definitely the way to go if you have sharing issues (*blush*)

Jamie & Traci, totally understand. Traci, I have the same but opposite problem. I can't cut a photo, its like drawing in a book, I just can't do it. I like Digi, just because I can resize and play with my photos I cut them, and shape them and do whatever without the "guilt!" But you either love it or hate it, my friend won't digi either and i respect that, she does like you do Jamie, prints the parts she likes, or the journalling or journal boxes and leaves it at that!

AlwaysBusy, nice to know I'm not alone!

Shortcake, yes you can print your own. There are no rules really, either that or I'm a rule breaker! LOL! If you want to print it on photo paper, or on regular paper, or cardstock, whatever. You can print just embellishments, whatever strikes you. Yes, for me it means no more cut and paste! Its pretty simple to get started, download one of the free trial programs. I used Photoshop Elements because it was the cheapest full capability program, but there are others, and then do one of the tutorials. Its a pretty steep learning curve, but once you get the hang of it, pages can be done in a flash! I don't know the policy on webpage referrals here, but if you search digital scrapbooking tutorials you'll find tons of info...
