Went Lawn Saleing (sp)
I ended up buying 1 lemon balm plant for $.25
1 book for $.25
Everything else I realized I could live without.
I won't buy clothes at lawn sales ( just a quirk I have ).
I have no fun saleing anymore because I can't get myself to buy stuff
(even if its something I could really use )
I just can't justify spending the money on it...To be One With The Universe In Spirit, Mind and Body

I don't even go hardly anymore myself. I may later in the summer when I start getting serious about looking for baby things. I just can't be bothered to bring anymore "stuff" into my house! I went last Saturday and it all looked like the same junk I am trying to get rid of! I feel you Holly - I really do!

I love it but I am looking for very specific stuff. I only buy it if it's really what I was looking for.

thats me I want another bread maker
and a dehydrater.
saw a bread maker like new for $7.00
and I just could not spend the money.
Doug did buy a screen door for the kitchen today.
It looks nice but I would have been ok without it.
I would have opened a window. To be One With The Universe In Spirit, Mind and Body

They aren't the same as I remember...
WOW... do I suddenly feel old!
I remember the days where yard sales were awesome, THE place to go to look before you hit the stores. Now, it's ebay... on grass!
Our town has a Yankee Doodle weekend once a year, fun, festivities, huge yard sale... well there are more crafters than yard sales, and what few yard sales they have... stink. McDonald toys? Broken tv's?
This year the theme for the weekend is Reduce-Reuse-Recycle... of course Freecycle is going to have a yard sale, I may go to look at it... and see who has what I want and wait for the message to post because no one wants to pay for something they know is going to be free as soon as the sale is over!
I can't be out of money... I still have checks left!

I haven't found anything in the last couple of years at yard sales. I either feel the items are overpriced or shouldn't even be for sale (broken or way overused), or similar to what I have and don't really need anymore either (knick knacks especially).

Where I live, we have an actual yard sale website - yep I am not kidding! It's "closed" on Sundays - to keep the addiction down. Some people think it's also the next eBay and if sometimes if people get stuff home and change their minds they think they are entitled to a refund! The yard sale site is okay - but it's like yard sales in real life - you get tired of looking at everyone else's junk too!
Holly - $7 for a breadmaker? I would've jumped on that and I don't even need bread!!

Yah know that there are people who go to yard sales and buy things then put them on ebay and sell them.... aka the bread maker for $7 might have sold for $15 on ebay... never know
i know of a good bit of people who do stuff like that.
Old McD toys can be worth money IF they are still in their baggies.

OMG - that's FUNNY Holly - I found the same thing to be true for myself the past year or so -
I think it's a good thing, but we're all definately rubbing off on oneanother!
I went to a multi-big-huge neighborhood sale, took me 1 1/2 to break a $20. I just couldn't do it - and I couldn't haggle over a quarter and then pull out a big bill, so I passed on some of the small stuff -
I have a bread maker on my list as well.
also, a wheelbarrow, lawn decor/statues, and I'm always in the market for a good book under 50 cents.Don't Breed or Buy While Shelter Pets Die
