    Default my favorite find

My favorite find was the coffee table that was being thrown out. My ex husband brought that one home and we fought over it when we separated. It is solid maple with chunky legs. It has seen some abuse, some after we got it, but I just love it more. The kids can sit at it and do crafts, and I can refinish it some day if I choose to.

My coffee table is a trash to treasure find, too. A lady on our street had sat it out by the curb and it was rained on. I took it home, sanded it down and painted it. I LOVE it now. It's the perfect size. I craft and sew there and everyone on the couch can put up their feet.

Good for you! Mine is an old office desk. Two sides of 4 drawers each, with a typewriter pullout above each side of drawers and a central drawer above the knee space. Was an absolutely ugly dark green. With the help of two strong men, got it home. When sanded, discovered it is solid oak! No wonder so darn heavy!
Found it sitting on the lawn next to the garbage on 'furniture throw away day' on a military base years ago.

Mine would be the solid mohagany tables (3) I found at a yardsale. $20 tops for all three. They have the leather inserts in them and brass feet. One I use as a coffee table.

Apparently the guy selling the stuff didn't want his step daughter to get anything.
