Cool 75% off at the thrift store

~It was too rainy on Saturday to go yard saling so my mom and I went to our favorite thrift store instead. We were very happy to discover they were having a 75% off sale! For $8 I bought:

Johnny Jumper for my nephew in great shape, $3.75
    10 1/2 yds of fabric, $2.50
    dozen quart canning jars, $.75
    4 new zippers, $.50
2 sets of large turkey lacers, $.50 I'll be using one of these sets for bead baking and one set for kebobs.

As my mom was paying for her purchases I noticed a newspaper article posted on the counter. The thrift shop was mentioned as having a 50% increase in sales over the last year. It also said our Goodwill is up by 35%! And I was scared they'd be closing due to the higher costs to run a business but apparently more people want a 'deal' now.~

I've been so busy with garage sales I forgot to shop the thrift stores lately. You've given me reason to go back. Thanks!

Glad you had luck with the bargains. What in particular are you going to make with your new stash of fabric?

~I picked up some of to use as accents in my living room(new curtains and pillow covers), some knit terry for diaper making and some great vintage cotton floral fabric for a sundress. My 'to sew' list is over a year long now, hehe!~

Great finds. I've never seen a 75% off deal at any of the thrift stores around here. Wow!
