    Talking More household hand-me-downs

My dad cleared his house out a few months ago and last weekend (Labor Day) I helped him vacuum and carpet clean his rugs/dry swiffer and scrub the walls and baseboards of each room, washed the curtains, and murphy oil mopped his hardwood floors. Three days of this resulted in a very clean and inviting little cottage home. The for sale sign went up two days later and the house was sold before the end of the week. My dad was so happy and asked if I would help him box up the last of his cupboards: Mostly food and cleaning products.

I went there yesterday and we moved out the rest of the stuff from his house. He gave me a swiffer dry mop, All detergent, a large jug of white vinegar, and his vacuum (only a few years old) he has a couple newer ones at his new house and didn't need this one. I am so happy and even though this one still has a bag it has some neat attachments that mine doesn't. I plan on playing with it today and cleaning my apt. in the process.

I am excited about the swiffer too, my dad gave me a few of the disposable pads for it, so I will use those up and then use washable ones. My mom had a bag of felt that she let me make 4 reusable swiffer pads from. I am going to dive in to cleaning this morning and continue for most of the day.

Sounds like you got some great items.

Have fun and remember when you run out of places to vacuum to check the coils behind the fridge , the ac closet and vents and around the hot water heater lol!

I went on a cleaning frenzy today, I cleaned top to bottom in every room of my apartment, except for the office. I'm going to vacuum and dry dust, but it's more of my fiance's domain than mine, and he cleans it when he gets to it, not as often as I would like, but it's kind of his "hang out room". It is funny how some new cleaning toys make me want to clean everything in site and out of site

That's great - both that his house sold FAST and that you got free cleaning stuff.
