    Thanks for the nice comments, everyone. I hope I get this lucky again with something else!

    DH worked as a bike mechanic in high school, so he knew how to fix it, and he had a bunch of spare parts in the basement.

    Where did you find the baskets?
    The front one came from Amazon (had a gift card) and the back one came from a bike shop in upstate New York. Between the 2 of them, I have no trouble bringing home my library, farmer's market, and small grocery hauls!
